Identifying a Sudden Drop in Organic Traffic for a Website

Answer Statements:-
Algorithm Updates - This is a big factor in the sudden drop of organic traffic of any website but here
there is no issue due to this.

Technical Issues - I also checked it thoroughly but as far as I can see, there is no technical issue in this
website from SEO point of view.

Keyword Analysis - This is one such area that is always reviewed whenever there is a problem in ranking
due to the same keyword. Make sure you use all the primary and secondary keywords in the correct
content, and you also use such keywords on the main page of the website. But I have not found such an
issue till now.

Content Quality and Relevance - This is a very vast area, you will have to spend a lot of time in it and
work on it well, that is why I have not covered this part much.

Backlink Profile - First of all I checked the domain authenticity of the website and it is very good, there is
no issue in the backlink, it is absolutely true that I have the best quality backlink of this website.

Task 2: Presenting an Executive Report to Product Stakeholders

To evaluate your website's success and comprehend user behavior, you must track engagement and
traffic analytics. Consider the following important metrics:

1. Website Traffic and Engagement Metrics

Analyzing website traffic and engagement metrics is crucial for understanding how well your website is
performing and how users interact with it. Here are some key metrics to consider

Traffic Sources:

Organic Search: The number of visitors who find your website through search engines.

Direct Traffic: Visitors who directly type your website URL into their browsers.

Referral Traffic: Visitors who come from external websites or links.

Page views:

The total number of pages viewed on your website. This metric helps understand the overall interest in
your content.

Unique Visitors:

The total number of distinct people who have come to your website at least once in a certain time
frame. It offers perceptions into the audience for your website.

Bounce Rate:

The percentage of visitors who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. A high bounce
rate may indicate issues with landing pages or content relevance.

Average Session Duration:

The average amount of time users spend on your website during a single visit. Longer session durations
generally indicate higher engagement.

Conversion Rate:

The percentage of visitors who complete a desired goal, such as making a purchase or filling out a form.
It measures the effectiveness of your website in driving conversions.

Exit Pages:

Pages from which users exit your website. Analyzing exit pages helps identify potential issues or areas
for improvement.

Top Pages:

Identify the most visited pages on your website. This helps you understand what content resonates the
most with your audience.

User Demographics:
Explore demographic data such as age, gender, location, and device type. This information is valuable
for tailoring content and marketing strategies.

User Flow:

Visualize the path users take through your website. Identify common entry and exit points to optimize
user experience.

Keyword Performance:

For organic search, track the performance of key keywords. Identify high-performing keywords and
those that may need optimization.

Referral Sources:

Understand where your traffic is coming from. Analyze the performance of referral sources and focus on
those driving high-quality traffic.

Social Media Metrics:

Monitor the impact of social media on your website. Track shares, likes, and comments to measure
engagement on different platforms.

Load Times:

Assess the speed at which your website pages load. Slow load times can negatively impact user
experience and search engine rankings.

Mobile Responsiveness:

Analyze the percentage of users accessing your website via mobile devices. Ensure that your website is
responsive and provides a good user experience on different devices.

Returning Visitors:

Track the percentage of users who return to your website. High returning visitor rates indicate user
loyalty and satisfaction.

2. Keyword Performance Metrics

Keyword Rankings:
Track the positions of your targeted keywords in search engine results pages (SERPs). Monitor changes
over time to assess the effectiveness of your SEO efforts.

Organic Traffic:

Measure the amount of organic traffic generated by specific keywords. Use tools like Google Analytics to
understand which keywords are driving the most traffic to your site.

Click-Through Rate (CTR):

CTR represents the percentage of users who clicked on your website link after seeing it in the search
results. A high CTR indicates that your title and meta description are compelling.

Impressions:

The total number of times your website appeared in search results for a particular keyword. High
impressions suggest good visibility.

Conversion Rate by Keyword:

Analyze the conversion rates associated with specific keywords. Identify keywords that not only drive
traffic but also lead to valuable actions (e.g., purchases, sign-ups).

Cost Per Click (CPC):

If you're running paid advertising campaigns, monitor the cost per click for each keyword. This helps
manage your advertising budget efficiently.

Long-Tail Keyword Performance:

Evaluate how well your website ranks for long-tail keywords. Long-tail keywords are often more specific
and can attract highly targeted traffic.

Competitor Keyword Analysis:

Evaluate the keywords your competitors are targeting. Identify opportunities to target similar keywords
or find gaps in your keyword strategy.

Brand Keywords:

Monitor the performance of keywords related to your brand. A strong presence for brand-related terms
indicates a healthy brand image.

3. Backlink and Authority Metrics

Comprehending diverse link metrics is imperative for proficient SEO, as it enables you to enhance your
link-building tactics and elevate your search engine rating. Metrics such as backlink count, domain
authority, referring domains, and organic traffic can provide you with important information about how
well your website is performing and help you make decisions to improve its exposure and draw in more
users.
