If the machine is operating correctly, when a cam is connected or disconnected it will display the following in sequence: “ Command being carried out" and Correct position " If there is some problem, however, there will be the following series of messages: ion " Command being carried out " and " Incorrect p Additionally, remember that in the first feed of ALL THE MACHINES codes 8 9 10 enable the adjustment of yam fingers 1 3 4. 23 THE DINEMA " DYSCON" YARN SLIDING SYSTEM ‘The "DYSCON" system makes it possible to have a differentiated check on each individual sensor, both for broken yarn errors and for uncut yarn errors. This can be done because it is possible to modify the number of "samplings", or checks, made in ONE CYLINDER REVOLUTION. Before starting the control phase, the card LEARNS FROM THE FIRST SOCK PRODUCED, memorising the behaviour of every single thread. ‘The machine learns automatically every time a program is activated, when the size is changed or when the leaming keys are used. After this learning phase, the system enters the control phase, and during this the card makes checks on the state of the sensors at intervals we set. The control phase is AUTOMATICALLY suspended every time the CHAIN STOP is pressed ( key [ F1 ] inserted }; when a MINICYCLE is carried out (key [ F2 ] inserted ); if there is zero-setting ( key [ FO ] inserted), if it is voluntarily suspended, or if the system goes out-of-phase ( for example when the position of a thread is changed without this being learnt). SF = DISABLES THE YARN SLIDING CONTROL CARD This is for disabling the dyscon system should particular work need to be carried out on the machine (this operation must be carried out with the machine at STEP ZERO and the KEY IN THE WRITING POSITION ). PROCEDURE: 1) Press the [ENT ] key and the initials " I>" will appear. 2) Key in SF and press [| RETURN ]; the following writing will appear: "Yarn sliding disabled " At this point the system will stay disabled until you re-enable it using the corresponding command, or until the machine is next switched on. 4 S = ENABLES THE YARN SLIDING CONTROL CARD ‘This is for ENABLING the dyscon system if it has previously been DISABLED ( this operation must be carried out with the machine at STEP ZERO and the KEY IN THE WRITING POSITION ). PROCEDURE: 1) Press the [ ENT ] key and the initials " I> " will appear. 2) Key in SS and press [ RETURN ], and the following writing will appear: "Yam sliding suspended " At this point the machine is waiting to start working, and so if you do not turn the key into the WORK position, the following will appear in order: " Leaming next sock" and after a few seconds " Machining state" After the first sock, which dyscon will use as a sample, the system will enter the control state and the following message will be shown on the display: "Yarn sliding control " During the control phase, errors are displayed on the error strip with the following writing: “ yarn sensor xx (SC) The asterisk indicates that there is another message, so then press the [ CTRL ] and [ T] keys and the following writing will appear: broken yarn" or" uncut yarn" Once the problem has been located and solved, simply press key [ F8 ] to delete the error. Learning can be carried out manually by pressing the [ CTRL ] and [ A ] keys, and if the machine is not at STEP ZERO, learning will automatically start at the START OF THE NEXT SOCK. Should you wish to SUSPEND the control MANUALLY up to the end of the sock being produced, you need to use the [ CTRL ] and [ N ] keys. SC = MODIFYING THE SLIDING YARN CONTROL CARD PARAMETERS ‘This is for modifying the control parameters on All THE SENSORS or on one SINGLE SENSOR, both to check for " broken yarn" and " uncut yarn" ( the operation must be carried out with the machine at STEP ZERO and the KEY IN THE WRITING POSITION ), PROCEDURE: 1) Press the [ENT ] key and the initials" I> " will appear. 2) Key in SC and press [ RETURN ], and the screen page will change as follows: TOLERANCE GENERAL SENSORS — SLIDING No, of samplings per cylinder revolution : 8 Socks memorised 10 Repetitive errors 3 Non-control strip 0 Out-of-phase 5 UNCUT BROKEN General filters (18) 24 Arrows = Vary parameter no. + Vary value DEL = Set value to zero FO = Unloading F9 = Save aauaene (View of the display with the " SC" function inserted ) Strip 1: Gives the number of samplings ( or checks ) made by the machine IN ONE CYLINDER REVOLUTION. Strip 2: Indicates the number of the last socks which were memorised for the repetitive error control. The writing " Repetitive err. " indicates how often the same error has to occur in the same point of the sock for it to be considered a REAL variation in the yarn behaviour. Strip 3: The non-control strip is not used, whilst the out-of-phase parameter establishes after how many consecutive errors the machine must automatically suspend the control on the sock in progress. ALL THESE PARAMETERS ARE FIXED AND CANNOT BE MODIFIED BY THE USER. Strip 4: Gives the type of GENERAL CONTROL which is valid for ALL the sensors. UNCUT means that the yarn has not been cut, whilst BROKEN means that the yam is broken or has come to an end. 26 Strip 5: Gives the SAMPLING VALUES, or CONTROLS, WHICH ARE NECESSARY FOR THE MACHINE TO BE STOPPED, in our example we have an UNCUT FILTER parameter of " 18 " and so if there is uncut yarn the machine will stop after 2 1/4 cylinder revolutions; whilst for the broken yarn error it will stop after three cylinder revolutions (24+ 8 = 3). Strip 6: Indicates which keys to use to move inside the screen page using THE CURSOR (aepresented by two round brackets "()"); the two horizontal arrows ate for moving from PARAMETER TO PARAMETER whilst the VERTICAL arrows are for moving from FILTER TO FILTER ( ie. the cursor will ONLY move IN THE ROW OF UNCUT OR BROKEN IRS in accordance with the initial cursor position ). The "+" and" -" keys ( which are placed in the "; "and "=" keys respectively ) are for INCREASING or DECREASING the value positioned inside the cursor. Strip 7: This strip contains some commands such as: the [ DEL ] key which sets the VALUE POSITIONED INSIDE THE CURSOR TO ZERO; the [ FO ] key which lets you exit from the screen page WITHOUT STOR ING, whilst the [ F9 | key lets you exit and STORE THE MODIFICATIONS YOU HAVE MADE. If you press the arrows several times you will change the screen page and move to the screen page which lets you MODIFY THE PARAMETERS OF EVERY SENSOR. TOLERANCE, SENSORS SLIDING No. Un Br No. Un Br No. Un Br No. Un Br 18 (24) 5 18 24 9 18 24 13 18 24 18 24 6 18 24 10 18 24° 14 18 24 18 24 7 18 24 11 18 24 15 18 24 18 24 8 18 24 12 18 24 16 18 24 Arrows = Vary parameter no. + Vary value et value to zero. FO = Unloading F9 = Save Nauaune (View of the display in the individual sensor screen page ) In strip 1 there are a few initials such as" N " which stands for the sensor number; " Un " for the UNCUT parameter and " Br " for the BROKEN parameter. ‘To change a parameter, simply move the cursor onto the parameter in question ( in this example the cursor is on sensor no. 1 on the broken yarn parameter ) and use the [ + | and [ - ] keys to bring the value to the one you want. If you press the arrow keys several times, the screen page will be changed and you will move to the page for sensors from no. 17 to no, 32. 21 STORING DATA Once you have set the values you want YOU MUST PRESS KEY [ F9 ] to store ALL THE DATA. After you have pressed the key the following messages will appear in sequence: " Wait for parameters to be stored " and " Parameters stored OK " At this point the machine can start working. Remember that for a sensor to have GREATER SENSITIVITY you should set a parameter with a LOW NUMBER, whilst on the other hand you should use a HIGH NUMBER in order to decrease the sensitivity. COMMANDS WHICH CAN BE ACTIVATED BY PRESSING THE [TAB ] KEY If you press the [ TAB ] key, the writing " MANUAL " will appear on the display, and if you keep a key pressed down this lets you activate CERTAIN FUNCTIONS, which will be deactivated when you release the key. PROCEDURE: 1) Press the [ TAB ] key, and the writing " manual " will appear. 2) At this point, press ONE of the following keys and you will enable the function you want: Key"E" ts the suction control valve in position 2. Key" Q"=Enables the turning device (if assembled ), Key"Z if the yarn is broken, this key disables the YARN FINGERS ON THE FEEDS. If this ‘occurs when the machine is in the HEEL, move the LOW needles IN FRONT OF THE, YARN FINGER IN QUESTION AND KEEP IT PRESSED until the yarn finger is raised. The colour yarn fingers are NOT INCLUDED in this function.
