I. offices

Office #1

Recommended illumination level(E) = 500 lux

Area to be illuminated (A) =29.8 m2

Total lumens (φ)=E*A→500lux * 29.8m2=14 900

Correction factor (CF) = Maintenance factor(MF) * Utilization factor (UF) → CF = 0.8*0.6=0.48

Gross lumens (φG) =(E*A)/CF→ 14900/0.48=31,041.67 Lumens

Total watts (TW) = φG/Efficiency of lamp (lumen per watts)

II.Toilet

Toilet#1

Recommended illumination level(E) = 150 lux

Area to be illuminated (A) =11.4 m2

Total lumens (φ)=E*A→150lux * 11.4 m2=1710 LUMENS

Correction factor (CF) = Maintenance factor (MF) * Utilization factor (UF) → CF = 0.8*0.6=0.48

Therefore TW = 3562.5 /80= 44.531 watts

Number of fixture (lamps)= TW/WPL→ #LAMPS= 44.531/15= 2.96 ≅ 3 LAMPS

Since there are partitions for the toilet, we divided the number of lamps into two halves of corresponding
areas A1 and A2.

For A1 we have given 2 lamps and the remaining one lamp to A2 to divide for each toilet partitions of 4
watt(approximately)→15w/4= 3.75w ≅ 4w lamp for each toilet seat.

Therefor the total number of lamps for the toilet is 2x 15W lamps and 4x 4W LED light.

Toilet #2

Since it is identical to toilet#1, all calculations for toilet#1 applies to toilet#2.
