CreationKit64 - Install from Steam then point the direction (target) to “CreationKit.exe” (in Skyrim Special
Edition directory) in the supported tools section (dashboard) of Vortex
Creation Kit Multiple Masters Fix - Copy 'CreationKitCustom.ini' into Skyrim Special Edition directory. Aims to
fix the Multiple Masters Bug in the Special Edition Creation Kit so it’s possible to port more plugins to SSE.
SSEEdit Install in Skyrim Special Edition folder then point the direction (target) of SSEEdit.exe in SSEEdit
launcher in the supported tools section (dashboard) of Vortex.
In the supported tools section (dashboard) of Vortex, click “add tool” and point direction (target) to
SSEEditQuickAutoClean.exe, then start to clean up the “update”, “Dawnguard”, “hearthfires” and “Dragonborn”
plugins with the Quick Auto Clean tool. Verify these plugins are now clean in the “plugins” section in Vortex
(refresh the page by clicking “sort now”).
FNIS Behavior SE 7_6 XXL Drop the archive in the “drop file” section of the “mods” section in Vortex. Click on it
to install, then enable it and deploy. Then go to Skyrim Special Edition/Data/tools/GenerateFNIS for Users and

INSTAL ENBseries
- Drop enbseries_skyrimse_v0488 in the “drop file” section of the “mods” section in Vortex and click to
install but don’t enable it. Double click on the mod in the mod list, go to mod type and select ENB, enter
version number (0488) and rename the mod. Then right click on the mod in the list and select “open in
file manager”, select and delete everything but the WrapperVersion file. Then open WrapperVersion file

Tweaks, Tips, Tricks and Fixes

NPC stretching fix :
Open the "hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml" with Notepad (in Skyrim/Data/SKSE/plugins). Search for the
lines: <hkparam name="maxLinearVelocity"> and <hkparam name="maxAngularVelocity">. You will see a
parameter like <hkparam name="value">255</hkparam>. If your value is not 255, change it to 255. The
stretching appears to happen when the mesh movement moves faster than the max velocity integer. Once you
change all above parameters, the stretch no longer happens. Do it all again with "hdt.xml" and "hdtVagina.xml"
NPC invisibility fix (ENBlocal.ini memory tweaks) :
Open enblocal.ini (in Skyrim folder) and in “[MEMORY]” section increase “ReservedMemorySizeMb” and
“VideoMemorySizeMb“ values to something like 512 and 14336 respectively (or higher) until no npcs or objects
in game is no longer invisible.
How to add transparency to clothes :
Go to Skyrim/Data/Meshes and open the folder of the clothes to modify. Select the nif files to modify and make a
copy of them before the modifications (nif files come always as a pair : xxx_0.nif and xxx_1.nif). Open one of the
nif files (with NifSkope app). In the mannequin window click on the cloth to modify to enlighten it (in green).
Then, in the “block list” window, click on the arrow next to “NiTriShape” and select “BSLightingShaderProperty”.
In the window below (Block Details window), select “Alpha” (double click) and modify its value (1 is opaque and
0 is invisible). Then save and replace the file. Do the exact same process to the second nif file. Then see in
game if the alpha value is correct.
Adding any Tool (executable) to Vortex :
In the supported tools section (dashboard) of Vortex, click “add tool” and point direction (target) to where the
executable is.
Create a character preset from any NPC face :
Open BSAUnpacker.exe in “Mods/ Skyrim/ 01 - Utilities/ BSA Unpacker. Click “Open” and in the window, select
the bsa file from the mod where the character comes from (unpack the mod first with 7zip if needed), then click
open. Then in the list, select the nif file corresponding to the character’s face and extract it (to know which is the
right one, search for the base ID number of the character). Once the nif file extracted, place it in “Skyrim/ Data/
SKSE/ plugins/ chargen/ presets”. Enter the game and open the console command and type in “showracemenu”.
How to merge plugins :
In the supported tools section (dashboard) of Vortex, click “add tool” and point direction (target) to
D:\Mods\Skyrim\01 - Utilities\zEdit\zEdit_v0.6.6.1_-_Portable_x64\zEdit.exe. Open zEdit, in the upper box, select
“zMerge” and in the lower box select “Skyrim” then click “start session”. Click “Create Merge” button. In the
“Details” box, enter a name for the future newly created esp, then in the “plugins” box select all the plugins to
merge together then click “OK”. Click “Build Merges” and wait until it’s completed. Then click “Relink Scripts” and
wait until it’s completed. Exit zEdit, exit Vortex and relaunch Vortex. Accept the newly created esp.
How to Flush DNS to Fix Skyrim crash to desktop :
When you clear the DNS cache, all of the entries are removed, and your computer is forced to repopulate those
addresses the next time you try to visit Skyrim. This will not affect performance or cause a Skyrim CTD.
In the lower-left corner, click the Windows start icon. Then use the Windows key + R combination. The Run box
will appear. Type cmd.exe, and click on OK. Then, in the cmd window, type the commands below, pressing
Enter after each one.

Now, check if CTD issue is fixed or not.
How to change Body and Textures of an npc :
Body: Copy the downloaded body from Data/meshes/actors/character/character assets: femalebody_0 and
femalebody_1 and replace in game or in mod file in Data/meshes/actors/character/name of the npc
Textures: Copy the downloaded textures from textures\actors\character\female: femalebody_1.dds,
femalebody_1_msn.dds, femalebody_1_s.dds, femalebody_1_sk.dds, femalehands_1, femalehands_1_msn,
femalehands_1_s, femalehands_1_sk, femalehead, femalehead_msn, femalehead_s and femalehead_sk and
replace them in game or in mod file in textures\actors\character\name of the npc
How to convert a .hkx file (animation) from LE to SSE :
- Download the Creation Kit 64 from Steam in order to get “HavokBehaviorPostProcess”. It should be in
Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Tools/ HavokBehaviorPostProcess.
- Download “converttoskyrimSE” from the mod “Guide to Animation.hkx conversion for Skyrim Special
Edition” > https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2970
Copy both “converttoskyrimSE.bat” and “HavokBehaviorPostProcess” (which are now in Mods/Skyrim Special
Edition/01 - Utilities/Animation.hkx conversion for Skyrim Special Edition) in the mod folder (not in game) where
the hkx file to convert is and run the batch file. Zip it and install it with Vortex. Done !
How to get rid of the random blue swirl effect on some npc’s :
Go to Mods/Skyrim Special Edition/01 - Utilities/No More Swirl Effects from Absorb - nif-77848-1-0. Copy the
Meshes folder, in game in the Data folder.
How to convert a LE esp to SE/AE esp :
Drop the esp to convert from the mod, in the game data folder.
Open the Creation Kit 64 app, click on the “Load Master/Plugin Files” icon in the top left corner of the app and in
the drop down menu select the plugin to convert (thick the box next to it) and set it as active file, then click OK.
Let the app load the files and say “yes to all” when asked. A warning window should pop up at the end of the
process, just close it. In the object window, click on any category of object (ie: Actors), then double click on any
object in the category (ie: Adara). On the new window that’s just appeared, click OK. Then, back to the main
window, click the “Save Plugin” icon in the top left corner of the app. Click “Yes to all” when asked. Again, a
warning window should pop up at the end of the process, just close it. Then close the Creation Kit app.
Go back to the game Data folder and cut the newly converted esp and paste it in the mod file (replace the LE
one). Re Zip the mod and install it with Vortex.
How to fix the “Throw Voice” ('Hey, ugly!' 'Hey, slug-breath!' 'Hey, skeever butt!’) Bug :
open up the console then click on the affected NPC and type addfac DB1 -1 Then hit enter and close the
console. This will remove the affected NPC from the player faction (which is not the follower's faction so no
worries on losing the follower as the player faction is supposed to contain only the player and none other
anyways).
