Understanding Equivalent Expressions

Two expressions or functions are equivalent if: 1. They can be rewritten to look like each other 2. Their graphs are the same 3. Expanding or factoring one expression results in the other expression For example, the expressions (x2) - (x3) + and x2 - 3x + -6 are equivalent because expanding the first expression results in the second expression.
