A SUBHEAD I : EXTERNAL DEVELOPMENT WORKS

Preamble
The rates quoted shall include:
Surface cleaning & grubbing of the ground including removing vegetation grass, brush wood,
trees and saplings of girth not exceeding 100 cm deep and disposal of rubbish within site
premises.
Pumping out surface runoff water collected from any source for keeping the surface dry as per
the requirement of site. Contractor should dispose water accumulated at excavated pit due to
rain.
The contractor shall take all precautions and measures to ensure safety of works and workman
during the execution of works.
Working Area shall be securely barricaded and provided with proper caution signs,
conspicuously displayed during the day and properly illuminated with red lights and/or written
using fluorescent reflective paint as directed by Project Manager during the day/ night to avoid
accident.
Adequate protective measures shall be taken by the Contractor to see that the excavation
operations do not damage the adjoining structures or dislocate the services, so that the
services remain functional. However, if any service is damaged during excavation shall be
restored in reasonable time.
Any damages done by the contractor to any existing work or third party properties shall be
made good by him at his own cost & nothing shall be paid extra.
Carrying out excavation in all types of soil is required profile and depth, including dressing of
sides, ramming of bottom, using mechanical excavator or manually wherever required. and
carting away and disposing the same within the site. Contour level to be taken jointly with the
Project Manager and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at
every grids for arriving at the actual quantity.
Nothing Extra will be paid for planking, strutting & timbering if required for excavation/back
filling done by Contractor.
Scope also includes carting away and disposing the same at dumping ground after obtaining
approval from the regulatory authorities. Obtaining royalty permission and maintaining all the
related records, covering the vehicle with plastic / tarpoline so as to prevent fall of any
excavated material on road, cleaning vehicle tyres before moving out of site, carting &
disposing of soil to approved destination, liaising etc. complete.
Contractor Must obtain approvals for all the materials intended to be used for the project
works. Inspections and Testing plan of materials shall be submitted in compliance with relevant
IS Codes.
Note:- Quantities mentioned in this subhead may vary to any extent. Rate shall hold good
irrespective of variation in quantities to any extent.

ROAD AND PARKING DEVELOPMENT


Earth work in excavation wherever required with mechanical excavator /Manual below existing
ground level in and such locations for all kind/types of soil & hard surface including shoring,
strutting, manual fine excavation, dressing sides and levelling, grading, ramming, keeping the
1 excavated surface dry for subsequent works including all lifts, taking out the excavated soil Cum 250 120 30,000.00
spreading in layers and stacking as directed, including all lead for all types of soil. malba/debris
shall be disposed from site to other site/MCG as per direction of engineer-in charge.

Supplying of good earth free from vegetation and unuseful material and filling with
mechanical/manual the same at site or within 3 Kms of site in road area , mounds , trenches,
plinth, sides of foundations, general area filling for landscape, or for maintain levels, spreading
the remaining soil for other locations as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, filling earth in layers
not exceeding 300mm in depth including breaking clods, watering, ramming, compacting,
consolidating in deposited layer to achieve 95% proctor density & rolling each layer with roller
2 and rolling every 3rd and top most layer with power roller of 8 tons-10 tons including re- Cum R/O
excavation, loading, unloading, transportation of soil, all labour, materials, machinery, tools &
tackles etc. for all depth, levels, lead & lift complete in all respect as per drawing, specifications
and as per the instruction/satisfaction of Project-in-Charge. Filling levels to be cross checked
with the Drawings.
Note : Cost of the field density test for every layer at 100 sqm shall be included in the rates.

Item same as above item no 2, but Earth shall be supplied by owner free of cost, however
2.1 dressing, compaction all complete shall be in Contractor scope. Cum 12168 240 2,920,320.00

SUB GRADE
Preparation and Consolidation of subgrade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity
3 including after excavation/backfilling earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber Sqm 6252 30 187,560.00
and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and rerolling the
sub grade and disposal of surplus earth lead up to 50 m.

Granular Sub-Base (GSB)


Providing, laying, spreading and compacting of granular sub-base by providing close graded
Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of
4 mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of Cum 1251 2500 3,127,500.00
100mm thickness with total thickness of 200mm, motor grader on prepared surface and
compacting with vibratory power roller of 8 to 10 tone to achieve the desired density, complete
as per specifications and directions of Project Manager.

Wet Mix Macadam (WMM)


Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to
0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with

Precast Pavers :
Providing and fixing minimum 60mm thick of approved (colour/shade/type) precast cement
concrete pavers of M-35 grade of required size as per design & patterns laid over 50mm
thickness of sand bed. After laying pavers, sand shall be spread over the surface and joints shall
6 be filled with sand. paver at edges to be fixed with 20mm thick cement mortar (of ratio 1 Sqm 732 925 677,100.00
cement :5 coarse sand) bed, all complete as per the direction of Project Manager. The rate
includes cost of sand, all lead, shifting and handling to work as per engineer in charge etc.
Base rate of Paver- 55/per Sqft.

PRECAST CONCRETE KERB


Providing and laying Precast concrete Kerb stone of size 300mm x 150 mm x 300 mm or as
approved of M-35 grade including preparation of subgrade by cutting / filling of earth wherever
required and consolidation of earth by earth rammer, providing & laying PCC 1:3:6, 75mm thick,
7 300 mm wide over prepared subgrade and fixing of kerb stone over PCC and joints and setting Rmt 2400 500 1,200,000.00
in position with cement mortar 1:3 including haunching with PCC 1:3:6 on back side of Kerb
Stone, in proper line and level as per instruction of Project Manager.
Base rate- 250/- per Rmt.

SAUCER DRAIN
Providing and laying precast concrete saucer drain of size 300L X 300 wide X 75 mm thick or as
approved of M-35 grade including preparation of subgrade by cutting and filling of earth
8 wherever required and consolidation of earth by earth rammer, including Providing & Laying Rmt 600 465 279,000.00
50mm thick PCC of 1 : 3 : 6 mix over prepared subgrade and fixing of saucer drain over PCC and
joints with cement mortar 1:3, all in proper line and level as per instruction of project manager.
Base rate- 220/- per Rmt.

Providing and applying two or more coat of synthetic enamel paint (Black & yellow
combination) on kerb stone including surface preparation, cleaning for all lead, shifting ,
9 handling and lift etc, cost of labour and material complete to the satisfaction of the Project Rmt 2400 25 60,000.00
Manager.

Dismantling of Existing M.S/G.I. Lighting Pole (height-6mtr.) including removal/dismantling of


existing rcc foundation, safely disassemble of lights, their connectors, wires, poles etc. and also
10 stacking of serviceable materials at desired place within site premises, up to a lead of 1000m Nos. R/o
and disposal of unserviceable material. etc. Complete Work as per instruction of Engineer-in
charge.

Providing necessary arrangements for packing of existing 600mm dia road Crossing's opening
with the seal pack arrangements by using plaster finish (15mm thick), 460mm thick Brickwork
11 all around with the usage cement mortar of 1:6, Work is including the cost of all providing base Nos. 2 - as per drawing
100mm thick PCC and their side shuttering etc.

B SUBHEAD II : ENTRANCE GATE

EARTH WORKS
Preamble
The rates quoted shall include:

12 EXCAVATION

Earthwork in excavation by mechanical or manual as required over areas in all kind of soils for
all leads & lift including dense soil etc. in raft, footing, pedestal, foundation pits, trenches,
drains, lift pit, sumps etc. including all lead, lift, providing shoring, strutting, to the sides if
required, trimming and dressing the sides of the pits including carting away the excavated earth
within site or within 3 kms of site at Owner's designated place. Excavation shall be payable only
12.1 for vertical cut up to the outer edge of foundation lean concrete as indicated in Drawings for all
depths. Cost for extra excavation required for working space, supporting side shuttering of
foundations, retaining walls and that required for making slopes for stability of excavation shall
be deemed to be included in the rate quoted. The line & levels in drawings shall be strictly
followed and over excavation if any shall be made good by Principal contractor free of cost as
per drawing, specifications and as per the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

EARTH FILLING

Filling with selected suitable excavated earth already available at site or within 3 Kms of site in
foundation, trenches, plinth, sides of foundations, behind retaining wall, general area filling for
landscape, or for maintain levels, spreading the remaining soil for other locations as directed by
Engineer-in-Charge, filling earth in layers not exceeding 300mm in depth including breaking
clods, watering, ramming, compacting, consolidating in deposited layer to achieve 95% proctor
13 density & rolling each layer with roller and rolling every 3rd and top most layer with power
roller of 8 tons including re-excavation, loading, unloading, transportation of soil, all labour,
materials, machinery, tools & tackles etc. for all depth, levels, lead & lift complete in all respect
as per drawing, specifications and as per the satisfaction of Project-in-Charge. Filling levels to
be cross checked with the architectural Drawings.

14 PCC & RCC WORKS


Preamble
The rates quoted shall include:
i) Making all drips, grooves, molds, curved surfaces and chamfered edges etc. in concrete as
directed.
ii) All projections, toothing and finishing to shape as directed.
iii) Embedding all electric pipes, boxes, sleeves fan hooks false ceiling suspensions, cut-outs of
any size and shape and inserts of any other description etc., in RCC slab or beam as directed.

iv) Working up or hacking of concrete surface & cleaning the surface from loose dust & dirt for
providing keys for further concrete work including applying thick cement slurry or mortar as
directed.
v) Use of cement slurry over shuttering before commencing concreting if required.
vi) Work in narrow widths, small quantities and curved alignment.
vii)Cleaning of slush, mud & debris etc. if any from laid reinforcement of sub structure work
before laying of concrete.
viii)Testing of overhead / underground water tanks, roof slabs, sunken slabs etc. by filling the
water to full depth keeping the same for a minimum period of 4 days. Contractor shall ensure
that the bottom & all sides are dry and their should not be any leakages.

ix)Work either straight or curved, plain or circular or any shape, work in inclined or sloping
surfaces.
x) Shuttering shall be placed adequately to receive the discharge from Pump concrete for ready
mix concrete use.
xi) Nothing extra shall be paid for working space required for supporting the shuttering in
foundations.
xii) Necessary curing & Protection, cost also includes the Curing Compound with prior approval
by Client's QC/Technical Head.
xiii) All the Sample collection, laboratory and testing cost shall be included.
xiv) All lead lift, loading, unloading, cartage, handling and storage.
xv) Cement & Reinforcement steel shall be supplied by Owner free of cost at one point within
the site. However, contractor shall coordinate with supplier by giving prior notice and shall
make necessary arrangement and to unload the material at the decided location.
xvi) Contractor to provide dowels as per drawings for all structural elements, if Contractor fails
to do so, the cost of rebaring shall be borne by the Contractor.
xvii) if contractor missed out to provide the dowels at location which is required on any
structural member, then the Contractor to do the rebaring at its own cost.
xvii) if contractor missed out to provide the dowels at location which is required on any
structural member, then the Contractor to do the Chemical rebaring at its own cost.
xix) RCC for drop panel & column flare shall be measured in slab at the respective level. All
measurement shall be done as per SP27 but the grade of concrete shall also confirm to the
respective structural member, which shall deem to be measured under same category as per IS
code. Else, the same shall be paid under the respective item, which shall confirm to the grade
of concrete.

xx) Cleaning of debris, removing of loose concrete from existing structure, removing broken

xxi) The Contractor shall use curing compound on all vertical surfaces of concrete, cost of
approved Curing compound shall include in quoted rates.
xxii) Hacking the exposed concrete to receive plaster and forming all necessary construction
joints, expansion joints, dummy joints etc. wherever directed and as per IS Codes.
xxiii) Trial Mix of Concrete and preparation of Design Mix report with all calculations will be in
contractor scope. The Concrete used for cube casting shall not be considered for payment.
Design mix shall be approved 15 days in advance prior to anticipated date of execution.
xxiv) The uneven concrete surfaces to be made even and smooth by chiselling and rendering
the concrete surfaces with non shrinkable material where ever applicable. Rendering and
chiselling shall not be paid extra.
xxv) In case of break down of batching plant Contractor is required to procure RMC from any
approved vendors at it's own cost. (Cement shall be supplied by the Owner)

PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE (PCC)


Note: Rates for all cement concrete items Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) and Reinforced Cement
Concrete(RCC) described below shall include work for all levels and floors and heights unless
otherwise specified. All PCC & RCC works shall be as per line & level, in plumb and proper finish
and without any honey-combing to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying batching plant machine mixed/ RMC Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) of
specific grade as bed concrete under foundation, bases of rafts underground water tank,
building machine equipment's, column footing, under floor landings, below road and pathways,
sill, coping, screeding at roof to required slope, in protection screed and other locations as
14.1 called for laid, consolidated and cured etc. all complete including finishing the top surface to
receive the next course / layer, cantering, shuttering/supports, curing, ramming, consolidating,
levelling and curing etc. as per technical specifications, drawing and as per satisfaction of
Engineer-in-Charge. (Cement shall be supplied by Owner free of cost at point within the site)

14.2 CAST IN SITU REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE (RCC)

Providing and laying cast-in-place batching plant machine mixed & machine vibrated, design
mix reinforced cement concrete of specified grade using concrete pump with 20mm down
gauge coarse aggregate excluding cost of cantering, shuttering and steel reinforcement but
including cost of making shear keys, shrinkage strips, expansion joints and provision of
construction / control joints in various locations, laid, consolidated of any shape and size etc.
with specified compressive strength of 28 days at all depths, lead, levels, floors and lifts as
mentioned including curing, etc all complete in structural elements as per detail, drawings,
specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The rates of RCC to include the cost of
admixtures/plasticizers/superplasticiser/ bonding agent to achieve specified requirements and
to facilitate pumpable concrete etc complete. Grade of concrete shall be as per approved
structural drawings.
(Note :- Max. Permissible Limit of Fly Ash is 25% of Cementitious Content) Fly ash conforming
to grade I of IS 3812 (Part-1) only be used as part replacement of OPC as per IS 456. Uniform
blending with cement to be ensured in accordance with clauses 5.2 and 5.2.1 of IS:456 -2000.
Principal Contractor shall take utmost care for water curing of RCC elements and in the absence
of proper curing, Engineer-in-Charge may direct Principal Contractor to provide & apply water
based/polymer based (as directed by Engineer in Charge) film forming curing compound at no
additional cost to the Owner.

15 FORM WORKS
Ply Board Shuttering

Form/Shuttering work as per the structural drawings


Providing, fabricating, erecting, cantering, formwork of approved quality as per Project
Manager for Slabs, beams, Capital, pedestal, column & walls, any curved structure/architecture
features (any RCC member as per drawings) in single/multi level staging, bracing’s, propping,
etc. including cost of striking off forms, de bonding agent, dressing with approved shuttering oil
to prevent adhesion, de-shuttering, and de-cantering for in-situ concrete work at all levels,
aligning to line and levels including necessary steel plates, steel bracing, staging platform, steel
props, bracing, bolting, welding, backdropping, cup lock system or any other equivalent
arrangement, MS / Aluminium adjustable spans to support shuttering. shuttering drawings /
system including support system to be approved by the structural consultant all complete as
per drawing, design, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
All work to have Ply Shuttering Only except/ shear walls, lift shaft etc.
rendering of joints shall be by the Contractor as per the instruction & to the satisfaction of the
Engineering-in-Charge. Nothing extra will be paid on this account.

SUB STRUCTURE WORKS (up to plinth level)


All types Raft/foundation, footing, footing beam, Retailing wall, Boundary wall Foundation,

16 REINFORCEMENT STEEL WORKS

All Cost for Providing, cutting, bending, laying, fixing in position steel reinforcement ( TMT as
per IS 1786 ) for RCC works including straightening transporting, removal of loose rust by wire

specified levels and binding with 18 gauge GI annealed wire to the entire satisfaction of Project
manager . Payment of steel shall be made as per drawing and approved bar bending schedule
with permissible laps and paid on the basis of the sectional weights of bar as per relevant I.S.
Code. The rate shall include cost of binding wire, PVC cover blocks, which will not be measured
separately for payment. Approved chairs, spacers, pins shall be measured for reconciliation as
well as for payment. The quoted rate shall include sampling of materials. (TMT / High Yield
Strength deformed bars as specified)

SUB STRUCTURE WORKS (up to plinth level)

17 STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS


Preamble
The rate shall include.
i) Neatly cut and fitted notches, true and squared ends including planning to sheared end of
plates, angles etc., where abutting against each other, for transmission of stresses.
ii) All necessary templates, pattern molds, mock-ups etc.
iii) All welding/bolting/riveting/ grinding as required and as shown.
iv) Necessary hoisting equipment, temporary supports, scaffolds, bracings, connections,
required for fabrication and erection including removing same after fixing steel work in final
position as per drawings.
v) Preparation of surface de-rusting with two coats of zinc chromate primer.
vi) Anchor / fix members to/in masonry/concrete.
ix) Protection of the installed item
x) All lead lift, loading, unloading , cartage, handling and storage.
xi) Basic Rate of Structural Steel shall be Rs 65/Kg. Any increase or decrease in basic rate shall
be adjusted in Contract Value accordingly.
xii) MS Make - SAIL/JSPL/RINL
MS STRUCTURE INSERTS/BUILT-UP SECTION
Providing & fixing in position of MS Works made of MS Hollow, MS Box, MS flat, MS angle, MS
Sheet, MS round bar welded, bending to profile as shown in Drawings, grinding, cutting of holes
in RCC / brick work, grouting including screw, nut, bolt, one coat of primer etc. at all heights,
levels, lead & lift complete as per Design, Drawings & as per the satisfaction of the Engineer-In-
Charge.

i) Cutting of components to required lengths / widths and shapes / profiles,


ii) Smooth grinding / machining of edges / faces / all welding joints.
iii) Preparing the surface to ensure complete removal of mill scale by grit.
iv) Necessary welding (electric arc welding) for required weld lengths and sizes
v) Necessary staging /scaffolding.
vi) Allow for surface preparation.

Fabrication shall be in a perfect Architectural workmanship manner and as provided in Section


V & VI of IS 800 & IS 7215. Welding shall be carried out by qualified welders. Electrodes for
welding, the procedure, selection, test and inspection shall confirm to provisions in IS 816, IS
818, IS 822, & IS 83. Rates are including all necessary fixing arrangements, tools, tackles,
scaffolding etc. complete in all respects.
