to queer issues, scrolling through comment threads mean having
to deal with the occasional troll and bigotry armed with Bible
scripture or verbal threats. While there are other ways we can
show our strength as a community besides engaging such scum,
sometimes a good argument does the trick.”

Buendia, an LGBT advocate, political consultant
for Senator RisaHontiveros, and winner of the
overall best speaker award at the United Asian
Debating Championship held in Cambodia
recently? He is the tournament’s first openly gay
Best Speaker.

These days, queer voices of reason like Andrei’s are precisely what we need. TEAM sat down with Andrei to talk
queer activism and how everyday gays can let their rainbow flags fly high.
Hi Andrei! Have you always been a tough person to be better than the recognized debaters. Some would say
