Table of Contents
Show saturation info at… To keep an overview of the saturation of your cleaning liquid, you can
set from which degree of saturation the saturation of each cleaning
bottle is displayed before each cleaning process:
1. Check the ‘Show saturation info at‘ box.
2. Set from which degree of saturation the saturation of each bottle
should be displayed automatically. To do this, press the arrow
buttons to set the percentage value. (By default, the degree of
saturation is displayed at 75%.)
At a lower saturation value, the saturation display will be shown
earlier than at a higher value.
Allow the use of cleaning liquid If the cleaning liquid reaches a saturation of 100%, it must be checked
with 100% saturation… whether the liquid can still absorb material or whether it must be
replaced. You can allow or prohibit the use of cleaning liquid with a
saturation of 100%:
1. Check the ‘Allow the use of cleaning liquid with 100%
saturation‘ box if you want to allow the use of cleaning liquid
with a saturation of 100%.
In this case, you can continue cleaning with a liquid which has a
degree of saturation of over 100%. However, to do so, you must
confirm that the cleaning liquid is OK and that it can still absorb
material.
2. Do not check the box if you generally do not want to allow the
use of cleaning liquid with a saturation of 100%.
3. Make the settings for the cleanliness grade. → Chapter 2.2.2
Allow the use of cleaning liquid To allow cleaning with a cleaning liquid of a lower cleanliness grade,
with lower cleanliness grade… please proceed as follows:
1. Check the ‘Allow the use of cleaning liquid with lower
cleanliness grade’ box.
Allow mixing of materials… To allow mixing of materials (and cleaning liquids), please proceed as
follows:
1. Check the ‘Allow mixing of materials‘ box.
2. Press the ‘Return ‘ button and then the ’Home ’ button to
return to the operator interface.

Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials, we therefore
always recommend the wearing of protective gloves.

8. Take two bottles of cleaning liquid and twist off the lids.
Place the lids in the storage inserts provided for this purpose in
the lower part of the container.
9. Place the opened bottles in the round openings of the lower part
of the container. Make sure that the position markings on the
bottles point to the markings in the lower part of the container.
These markings ensure that the bottles are correctly positioned
so that the RFID tags located on the bottles can be read by the
RFID reader.
10. Take the upper part of the container and insert the tube ends
into the bottles. Close the container.
Make sure that the container is not moved jerkily. The RFID tags
on the bottles could rotate away from the reader.
11. Connect the container to the machine. → Chapter 3.2

6 Troubleshooting
Possible Causes The RFID tags cannot be read in. At least one cleaning bottle is missing
or at least one cleaning bottle is incorrectly positioned.
Further Procedure To close the warning note and resume the cleaning process, please
proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) the RFID tag
has not been detected. (‘No Tag‘)
2. Press the quick coupling on the cleaning liquid container while
pulling the container from the machine.
Cleaning liquid containers, that have cutouts in the housing in
the area of the cleaning bottles, do not have to be disconnected
from the machine for repositioning of the bottles. In this case,
the bottles can be rotated through the cutouts. After having
rotated the bottles, continue with step 6.
3. Open the cleaning liquid container. → Chapter 3.1
4. Correct the positioning of the bottles which were not detected
and then carefully close the container.
5. Reconnect the container to the machine. → Chapter 3.2
6. Now press the ‘Retry ’ button to perform a new reading of the
RFID tags. Provided that both tags could now be read, the
display will ask whether the cleaning liquid container is
connected to the machine. Check that the container is
connected correctly and confirm this with the ‘Confirm ’
button. The cleaning process will then be started.
Possible Causes You are about to clean a material with a cleaning liquid which,
however, has already been used previously for cleaning a different
material. Mixing of materials is not allowed in the ‘Cleanliness Grade
Settings’. → Chapter 2.2.2
Further Procedure To close the warning note and resume the cleaning process, please
proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) there is a
discrepancy between ‘Printed part material’ and the material
previously cleaned with the cleaning liquid .
2. Cancel the process by pressing the ‘Cancel ’ button.
You will automatically return to the operator interface.
3. Replace the respective bottles either with new bottles or replace
them with cleaning bottles which are already written with the
respective printing material.
4. Start the cleaning process again by pressing the ‘Start ’
button.
Possible Causes You are about to clean a material with a cleaning liquid which is not
intended for cleaning this material. Mixing of materials is not allowed
in the ‘Cleanliness Grade Settings’. → Chapter 2.2.2
Further Procedure To close the warning note and resume the cleaning process, please
proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) there is a
discrepancy between ‘Printed part requires’ and the cleaning
liquid in the bottles .
2. Cancel the process by pressing the ‘Cancel ’ button.
You will automatically return to the operator interface.
3. Replace the respective bottles with cleaning bottles filled with the
respective cleaning liquid.
4. Start the cleaning process again by pressing the ‘Start ’
button.
Possible Causes When checking the bottle status, at least one empty RFID tag has been
detected. → Chapter 4.2
Further Procedure To write information on the empty RFID tag, please proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) the RFID tag
has not been detected. (‘Empty Tag‘)
2. Open the drop-down list and select the cleaning liquid that is in
the respective cleaning bottle.
3. Now press the respective ‘Create Tag ’ button to write the
selected cleaning liquid on the empty tag.
4. Press the ‘Return ‘ button and then the ’Home ’ button to
return to the operator interface.
Possible Causes You are about to clean a material with a cleaning liquid of a lower
(purer) cleanliness grade than the material to be cleaned itself.
Cleaning materials with a cleaning liquid of a lower cleanliness grade
is allowed in the ‘Cleanliness Grade Settings’. → Chapter 2.2.2
Further Procedure To close the warning note and resume the cleaning process, please
proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) there is a
discrepancy between the cleanliness grade of the ‘Printed Part’
and the cleanliness grade of the cleaning liquid .
2. Cancel the process by pressing the ‘Cancel ’ button.
You will automatically return to the operator interface.
3. Replace the respective bottles with cleaning bottles which are
already written with the respective cleanliness grade.

button.
Figure 29: Warning note ’Cleanliness grade of cleaning liquid is lower than
printed part‘
Possible Causes You are about to clean a material with a cleaning liquid which has a
higher (dirtier) cleanliness grade than the material to be cleaned. It is
not possible to clean materials with a cleaning liquid which has a
higher cleanliness grade than the material to be cleaned, otherwise the
part will become contaminated.
Further Procedure To close the warning note and resume the cleaning process, please
proceed as follows:
1. Check at which position (Pre- & Final Cleaning) there is a
discrepancy between the cleanliness grade of the ‘Printed
Part‘ and the cleanliness grade of the cleaning liquid .

in the ‘Saturation Settings’. (‚Show saturation info at‘ → Chapter 2.2.1)
Further Procedure To close the note and resume the cleaning process, please proceed as
follows:
1. Check which cleaning liquid will soon be saturated .
