 Prior action before the installation begin:


 Make sure the C drive of the ATM have sufficient space for the installation (Minimum of
15 GB).
 Uninstall previous version of unified agent which is installed on the ATM for vision 2x.
Follow the following steps to install the previous version
o Ge to services and stop “Unified Agent Service”
o Delete all the files under the following paths
1. C:\Program Files\Common Files\NCR\Unified Agent\WS
2. C:\Program Files\NCR APTRA\Unified Agent\WS\bin\Logs
3. C:\Program Files\NCR APTRA\Unified Agent\WS\bin\UAData
o Go to control panel and uninstall UA WS Aggregate.
o Change the time zone to Nairobi, Kenya (GMT +3 make sure that the time match
the current time.)
o Change the computer Name (use TID to uniquely identify the ATM), then restart
the machine.
 Copy unified agent installation file to be installed on the ATM.
 Make sure that the Terminal definition is done before starting the installation.
 Extract the UA installation file
 Open the “Diebold UA Installation File” “G531-1069-0000-04.05.01”  “G531-
1069-0000” “Runtime” Then run execute “setup” file.
 The following screen will pop Press “Next” to proceed.

 Click “Yes” then “Next” to proceed the installation.

 Click on “Advanced” and check “Force component installation” and “Overwrite


runtime configuration (when upgrading components)” then click next to proceed the
installation as shown in the figure bellow.

 Then check “Runtime” in the screen to select the target environment for installation as
shown in the following screenshot.

 Change profile from “default” to “Include SWD Agent” default

 Then click “Next” then “Finish” It will take a while doing the installation.

NB: Once the installation is complete rebooting the PC is required. However,


pend/ignore for later and proceed the following tasks.
Importing the certificate
o Copy the certificate file named “server” to the computer
o Then go to Start  “mmc” the bellow screen will pop

o Then go to File Add/Remove snap ins  choose certificate

o After that, click Add and then select “Computer account” on the next dialog box

o Select Local Computer (the computer this console is running on)  Next 
Finish

 Go to “Certificates(Local Computer)”  Trusted Root certification  right click


on “Certificates”  “All tasks”  “Import”

 Then press “Next” to import the certificate then click on “Browse” to locate the
certificate file named “server.crt”

 Then click “Next” then “Finish”

 Similarly “Certificates(Local Computer)”  “Intermediate certification”  right


click on “Certificates”  “All tasks”  “Import”

 Then press “Next” to import the certificate then click on “Browse” to locate the
certificate file named “server.crt”

 Then click “Next” then “Finish”

o Once you complete importing the certificate copy and replace, the following files
to the respective folders
1. Copy then replace the file named “host” to the path
“C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc”
2. Copy then replace the file named “NCR.APTRA.UAConfig.WS.accfg”
to the path “C:\Program Files\NCR APTRA\Unified
Agent\WS\bin\Config”
3. Copy then replace the file named
“CommunicationChannel_Config.xml” to the path “C:\Program
Files\NCR APTRA\Software Distribution Agent
Runtime\TPSD\CommunicationChannel”
4. Copy then replace the file named “App_TPSD_Config.xml” to the path
“C:\Program Files\NCR APTRA\Software Distribution Agent
Runtime\TPSD”
5. Copy the file ‘UA_Services.bat’ to C:\ drive and update the registry file by
running ‘UAWS&SWD.reg’ and when prompted with Yes or No
confirmation question, press Yes and finish merging file.
o Once you complete the above tasks reboot the computer.
o And then login with admin and go to visual runtime 2010 folder from installation
folder and proceed to install Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable since it will
be uninstalled with the unified agent simultaneously.
o Finally make sure you perform the following tasks before restarting the machine
1. Go to services and stop the TSPDAgentService
2. Kill the “NKioskCommunicationChannel” (Go to Task manager 
process  End process)
3. Backup and delete the NKIOSKMessages.db file located in the path
“C:\Program Files\NCR APTRA\Software Distribution Agent
Runtime\TPSD\sqlite3\”
4. Run Create_LocalDB.bat as admin located in the path “C:\Program
Files\NCR APTRA\Software Distribution Agent
Runtime\TPSD\sqlite3\”

5. Go to registry (write “regedit” on the start menu ) and go to the following


path“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NCR.APTRA
.UAWSTSSrv ” then allw thee permission to everyone (Right click on
NCR.APTRA.UAWSTSSrv  permission  add  enter the objectname as
everyone then click on check name Ok  Full control Apply  Ok )
o Restart the terminal
o Make sure that the terminal has a unique id from the host side.
o Create random ticket manually to confirm proper tickets are being created from
the host side.
