    SCHOOL ON DOCUMENTATION OF THE GIVE THE GIFT
    OF SHARING YEAR I

    INTRODUCTION

    Gift giving is an act of self-gratification. It is a way and an expression of love. It


    strengthens human connections and builds relationships. The social value of giving has been
    recognized throughout the year and Christmas day is one of the happiest days of the year
    where children received gifts from their parents and relatives. It is one way of saying that
    they are important and loved for some children buying food is more important than receiving
    toys and parents.
    On December 10, the Supreme Secondary Learners Government goes to Calumpang
    Liliw Laguna for give the gift of sharing outreach program. The weather had been fine that
    day, upon reaching the site, we were welcomed by the children of Valenzuela Compound
    who were all excited for the day’s activities. The activity started with the church song, where
    the participants happily showed us a presentation. And as an early Christmas treat, the SSLG
    surprised the children with Christmas presents. It was a joy to see their happy faces as we
    distributed our surprise gifts, which consisted of toys, clothing, and educational items.
    A total of 50 children took part in the activity and received our early Christmas gifts.
    This day reminded us of how Christmas is so much more than just giving gifts. Activities
    such as this are a great way to bring people together, to serve and share blessings, and to give
    hope. We know that, in our own way, we are providing hope and new opportunities for our
    less-fortunate brethren. Seeing those children wearing a big smile plastered in their faces
    gives satisfaction to the student who participated in the activity.

    OBJECTIVES:
    a. Participate in a charity work that may teach them about the true meaning of the
    celebration of Christmas. It is not how much we received but how much we give and
    make other people happy.
    b. Strengthen the student’s creative participation in the promotion and preservation of
    social values and impart to them that true selflessness do exist.

    c. Instill among students the value of giving and sharing that are uniquely, genuinely,
    and positively Filipino.
    ACCOMPLISHMENTS
    1. Planning meeting with the Principal, SSLG and AP Teachers.
    2. The school Give the Gift of Sharing activity was held on December 10, 2023.
    3. The tree planting activity was a success, and the school is now home to a new forest.
    BEST PRACTICES:
    1. Planning of ahead of time.
    2. Two weeks before the activity the donations were packed.
    3. Time management.
