Overview:

In this writing activity, you will create a short paragraph that focuses on specific
questions related to using rubrics. Throughout this class and your time at Post
University, rubrics will be used to explain the important requirements of assignments. By
using active reading strategies, reviewing, and deconstructing rubrics, you can gain
clarity of what is being asked of you when completing an assignment.

Instructions:

• Take a close look at the rubric provided for this assignment at the end of this
document.
• Write a paragraph (at least six sentences) about the most important elements of
this specific rubric.
• Address the following in your paragraph:
o What stood out to you as you read through the rubric?
o What was confusing about the rubric?
o What would you grade yourself based on the rubric?
• You can use the APA Template attached to this assignment to create your title
page.

Requirements:

• Submit a Word document in APA format that has a Title Page, is double-spaced,
has 1-inch margins, and uses an APA recommended font (12 pt Times New
Roman is suggested).
• The paragraph should be at least six sentences.
