Introduction
The full form of IELTS is the International English Language Testing System and it is an English
assessment exam which is designed in a way that helps you work, study, or migrate to a country
where English is the primary language of communication. The examples of such countries are
the USA, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, etc. The IDP IELTS exam has mainly four
sections namely listening, writing, reading, and speaking. The IDP IELTS is graded on a scale of
1-9 where 1 is the lowest and 9 is the highest score.

You can choose your IDP IELTS test dates up to four times a month which makes 48 IDP IELTS
test dates in a calendar year. For the IDP IELTS Academic and General training module, the
availability of IELTS dates in India may be different. While there are 48 available IDP exam

booking dates for the IELTS Academic, there are only 24 available IDP exam booking dates for
the IELTS General Training version. The IDP IELTS test is mostly held on Thursdays and

Saturdays. The listening, reading and writing sections of the IDP IELTS exam take place on the
same day as the IELTS exam, while the speaking section is conducted up to seven days prior
and/or post the IDP IELTS exam date.

The IDP IELTS exam fees can be paid by the following methods:

1. Credit/ Debit (Visa or Master) and Netbanking
2. Demand Draft - The demand draft should be drawn in favour of "IDP EDUCATION

INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi" and should be made from the list of
approved banks.

3. Bank deposit – You can also deposit cash in ICICI/HDFC bank branches through a
customized deposit slip. You can either download this slip from IELTS IDP India website
or take it from the nearest IELTS IDP branch office/ referral partner. Do make sure to

attach the original customer copy of the deposit slip along with the IELTS application
form.

How to book IELTS exam IDP
The IELTS exam IDP slot can be either booked online or offline at your nearest IDP IELTS
branch. We will tell you how tp go about the IDP IELTS booking.

1. Create an IDP IELTS login on the IELTS India website.

2. Log in to your IDP login using your credentials.
3. Now select the option of “Register for IELTS”.
4. Now select the test you wish to take - computer-delivered IELTS/ paper-based (IELTS,
IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills).

5. Now select your test type/module – Academic or General Training for IELTS, IELTS for
UKVI, A1 and B1 for Life Skills.

6. Now select your preferred test location/city from the available IELTS IDP test centres in
India.
7. Now make the IDP date booking from the available list of dates Select your desired date
and time slot.

8. Fill all the details that are required to be filled and complete your IDP IELTS registration.
9. You will also need to scan and upload a clear copy of your passport.

10. Now pay the IDP IELTS exam fee.
11. You will receive an acknowledgement on your registered email/phone after the booking

How to get your IDP IELTS result online
The IDP IELTS result that you get online is not the official result. They are provisional until you
receive your official Test Report Form (TRF)

1. Log on to https://ielts.idp.com/results/check-your-result.
2. Enter your name as provided in the IELTS application form.
3. Enter your family name. If you do not have a family name, enter a hyphen (-).
4. Enter your passport number or ID number.
5. Enter your date of birth.
6. Check your IDP result online.

How to go about IELTS IDP result TRF download

1. Login at www.ielts.org/TRF with the email ID you have in your IELTS application form.
The password would be the same as the one you received in the IELTS registration mail
you received.
2. Now, click Download Results on the left-hand side menu.
3. Choose the timeline for the results that you wish to get from the range of dates. You

have to keep in mind and include the date on which you took the test.
4. Now select the format in which you want to download your results, i.e. CSV or XML.
5. Click on “submit” for viewing the list of all the IELTS IDP result sent to your institution
