1. TITLE OF THE LAB EXPERIMENT
Create a new bug for Thunderbird using Bugzilla.

2. OBJECTIVES/AIM
The main objectives of creating a new bug in Bugzilla for Thunderbird include:
• Issue Identification: Identify and document software issues or bugs within Thunderbird.
• Bug Reporting Proficiency: Develop proficiency in using the Bugzilla bug tracking system
for efficient reporting.
• Open-Source Contribution: Contribute to open-source development by reporting issues,
improving software quality.
• Clear Communication: Enhance communication and collaboration skills by providing clear
bug descriptions for the development team.
• Hands-On Learning: Gain practical experience in the bug reporting process and
understanding the importance of software quality.

3. PROCEDURE / ANALYSIS / DESIGN


Here's a procedure for creating a new bug in Bugzilla for Thunderbird:
• Log in to Bugzilla and select the Thunderbird product and component.
• Click "New" or "File a Bug".
• Fill out the bug report form with a summary, description, version, severity, and other
details.
• Attach files or screenshots if needed.
• Submit the bug report.
• Monitor and engage with the bug report for updates or additional information.
• Collaborate with the Thunderbird community to resolve the bug.
• Stay informed about the bug's status until it's closed after being fixed and verified.

6. ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION


In this lab report we learned about how to create a bug in Bugzilla for any software for their better
maintainability and help the developers resolve the issues user can report.
