Learning focus:

These activities will focus on


-Revisit previous animals knowledge: Bear, duck, monkey, tortoise, cat;
-Revisit previous numbers knowledge: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10;
-Revisit some verbs: sit down, stand up, listen, watch;
-New vocabulary: bingo, bag, cross;
-Develop emotional and social well-being between peers and adults; through activities
and songs;

Possible contingencies:
-Children could want to take the numbers and the flashcards;
- Children talking at the same time when teacher asks questions;
-Children could not understand the activity instructions and the game;
-Children could not stay to sit for a long time;
-Children could got bored;

Classroom management strategies:


_ Dancing and playing activities : Interaction time waving her hands.
- Using the chant 1,2,3 silent please,3,2,1 everyone.

-After class: the information will be collected on a word file, I will take photos, or it
will be recorded;

Lesson stages: Routine; Lead-in & Presentation; Activities; and Closure.
1. Routine
Purpose:
 To sing and dance the hello song”
● To greet each other in the English Language.
● To engage children into the class.
Timing: 5 minutes
Activity description:
➔ The teacher gets inside the classroom and greets everyone.
“Hello, Hello everyone, are you ready for today?”
➔ She invites them to do a semi-circle on the floor to sing the welcome song.
“Please come here.
Let's sing the hello song!

I´m good! I´m great ! I´m wonderful!

➔ At the end of the song, she congratulates them on their performance.

Transition comment:
-Ok kids, Great job ! Now she invites them to do a semi-circle and sit down in
their chairs in order to pass the next activity in the meantime she sings:
-1,2,3 silent please,3,2,1 everyone.

2. Lead-in & Presentation


Purpose:
● To review prior knowledge: animals and colours
● To foster relationship between peers and adult.
● To foster speaking and listening activity in L2;
● To reinforce questions;
Timing: 10
Activity one
-The teacher asks some questions to the kids: Do you remember about some animals
that we learned? She encourages children to review

She shows to the kids some flashcards animals and she starts doing some questions. She
says WHAT IS IT ? and she shows the FOX flashcard and she says WHAT COLOUR
IS IT? She encourages to the children to repeat the word and then she continues
showing other animals flashcards to the kids. Next animal, for example she shows to the
kids the TORTOISE flashcard and she asks to the children WHAT IS IT? And WHAT
COLOUR IS IT? She does this same action with all the ANIMALS flashcards in order
to review animal vocabulary and colour vocabulary.
-After that she aks to the kids the next question Do you like playing a game? Because
today we are going to play the Bingo game!

Transition comment
-Great job kids ! Now kids let´s go to play!
-The teacher invites the children to take their chairs and going to their work´s place.

Activity two:
The teacher aks to the children if they know how to play the bingo game, and then she
explains it. She says before starting playing the game we are going to review the
numbers. She shows to the kids the rubber eva numbers and she shows the first number
to them. She shows the number 1 and she says What number is it ? She encourages
children repeat the number.Then she shows them the next number the number 2 and she
asks children What number is it ? She repeats the same action to finish all numbers.
Number 1 to 10
After that she says to the kids that now we are going to play the bingo game and she
gives to them a hardboard paper with the numbers written in it and some colour pencils.
She explains the game: In this bag ( she shows the bag to the kids) I have numbers
from1 to 10. I will take a number from this bag and if someone of you have in their
hardboard this number you should make with a colour pencil a cross in it. The first
student that completes the line he/she will say in loud voice “bingo”.Then who
complete all the hardboard she/ he will be the win !

Transition comment :
Great job kids! You are amazing! Did you like the game?

● To reinforce previous knowledge: ANIMALS,NUMBERS
● To establish how they are going to work;
● To foster relationship between peers and adult;
● To foster game activity and foster L2;
Timing: 15

Closure
timing: 5 minutes
Purpose:
-to say goodbye
Activity description
-the Teacher will invite children to dance and sing the “good -bye”song
