1. Rhombus ABCD has diagonals that intersect at E. DF is drawn oeroendicular to DC and AD at
D. with AB = 10cm, ∠BCD = 60° and FD = 4 cm, find FE

16) A rectangular solid 12ft. Long and 8 ft. Wide is inscribed in a sphere of radius 2√17. Find the
height of the rectangular solid.
L=12ft L²+W²+H²=D² D=2r
W=8ft L²+W²+H²=(2r)² L²+W²+H²=4r²
H=? ( 12)²+(8)²+H²=4(2√17)²
r=2√17 208+H²=272 H²=272-208 √H²=√64 ANS. H=8ft
17)

18) reffering to number 17, find the distance between planes M and N if AB is perpendicular to
plane Q, and CF=33cm FD= 22 cm, and EB= 14 cm
Given:
CF = 33 cm CF² = CO² + FO² EB² = EO² + BO²
FD = 22 cm FO = 33 – 22 = 11 CM EO + BO = EB =14 cm
EB = 14 cm FO = 11 cm
EO = CF – FO = 33 – 11 = 22 cm
∴ BO = EB – EO = 14 – 22 = - 8cm
