Engraver Master
Download Engraver Master:

Directly to generate the tool path and no need to trans-code. The engraving speed
and the laser power is adjustable. There are more function like :change the size
of the picture, enter text, import the NC file or dxf file. The file format that
can be imported is:jpg,jpeg,png,dxf,g-code(NC file),and so on.

Here are the user guide for Engraver Master:

step 1. Installation

After installed, you will find an icon Named Engraver Master on computer desktop
and the Start Menu. Double click the icon to start :

Software introduction:

Our engraving machine has been set up before leaving the factory. Normally, there
is no need to set it. If the machine displayed on the device parameter page does
not match your machine, or it needs to be set for the question mark.

1. Baud-rate :115200
2.Weak laser always set within 18-22, (if the point can not been seen, can increase)
after that click “ save setting”
1.Print picture( Gray style)

1) Load picture---Gray style---set burning time(more time , the speed of engraving


is slow, in contrast is fast)
2) Quickly engrave the logo or graphic(NC sender)
3) Cut a picture

2.Run Engraver Master On Mac

This demo is base on MacOS 10.13.3 , if it doesn't apply to your Mac version , you
can try BACHIN DEMO XP with VirtualBox.

Connect you laser machine or draw machine to Mac by USB before everything.

Steps:

==STEP 1==

Download Engraver Master for Mac.

Double click the dmg file.

==STEP 2==

Drag Engraver Master Icon over the Applications Icon.


==STEP 3==

Double click to install XQuartz.pkg.

When finished, click “Keep”.

Double click to install CH34x_Install_V1.4.pkg.

Restart Mac when finished.


==STEP 4==

If you see this message appeared.


Ortype ls /dev/tty.* in Terminal, but can not see a name like
tty.wchsubserialxxxxxx.

The CH340 USB driver extension is blocked by Mac.

Allow CH340 USB driver from Mac Security & Privacy.


==STEP 5==

Run Run Engraver Master from Launchpad.

Power on the machine.

Enjoy~
3.How to Update Firmware on Board

There is a easy way to update Grbl or other firmware on board.

In Engraver Master software.

Click the Menu button top right of Engraver Master.

Select the update firmware menu.


Select the firmware version, or load other firmware file with a .HEX extension name

Click Update Now. You can find the led lamp flashing on the board. It will be finished
in about half a minute..

4. GRBL default Settings

Some time, the GRBL board can be connected, but can't move the motor, maybe the
settings goes wrong. try this default settings.

5. Why laser not burns anything

If laser not lights, please see Why laser not lights.

If laser lights but not burn anything, it may be:

1, Laser not focused.

If you assemble your own laser engraving machine. You need focus the laser before
first cutting. If you want to cut objects of different heights. You also need to
focus the laser again. See How to adjust the laser focus.

2, Material is to far or to close to laser.

About 7CM is easier distance to focus. see How to adjust the laser focus.

3, Unsupported engraving material.


Some material is hard to marked by laser, for example:metallic, reflective,
transparent, white…

Try other things, a piece of EVA paper or gray paper is easy to burn.

6.How to adjust the laser focus

Cutting objects in different height, need to readjust the laser focus.

Step 1

Put a gray paper at the height of the object.

Step 2

Wear protective glasses.

Step 3

Turn on the laser (strong).

Step 4

Trun the bottom of the laser left and right. Make the laser focus became smaller.
The paper should be burned while the laser focus is smallest.

Step 5

Continue and move the paper. See the mark burned by the laser. Stop when the mark
is small and continuity.

7.How to Invert Motor's Direction

If your machine engraved a mirror or inverted image. If you click left on the computer
software, the machine go right.

Your machine's axis direction is wrong. This is a easy problem.

First

Let's find out which axis is in the opposite direction.

Move the axis by software, for example Engraver Master.


If you click right (X+), the machine goes left. That's the X axis.

If you click up (Z+), the machine goes down. That's the Z axis.

If you click back (y+), the machine goes front. That's the Y axis.

Now

Open the Device Settings page on the Engraver Master. You can easy solve the problem
by enable or disable the Reverse N Axis options.

On Bachin Master software, it is a similar operation.


8. Incomplete display of DXF file in micro-sculpture housekeeper

This is the original drawing shown in the CAD.

After saving as DXF file, import it into the micro-sculpture manager, some lines

are lost.

Reason:

Microsculpture housekeepers do not support 100% of high-level DXF files.

Terms of settlement

When CAD exports DXF, select the lower version of DXF file. For example, AutoCAD
2004 DXF format. In addition, the micro-sculpture housekeeper still does not support
the text in the CAD, so it is suggested to convert it into lines.
