Responsibilities:
Operating the main kiln in the plant to produce clinker (a semi-final
product of a cement plant) with a certain quality measure in the safest way.
Troubleshooting and help in solving any encountered problems during
operation to return to safe production in the shortest time possible.
Reporting to the shift leader big troubles, and make recommendations to
solve them.
Recommend to the Lab Engineer any suggested changes on the raw
materials percentages to acquire a clinker of good quality.
Coordinate with mechanical and electrical maintenance engineers any
scheduled or trip maintenance of different equipment.
Direct the line production technicians to solve any problems that disrupt or
prevent normal operation.
Report any mechanical or electrical problem that I encounter to the
mechanical or electrical maintenance department and follow up until
solving them.

Co-ordinate any maintenance scheduled shut downs with colleagues
from mechanical and electrical maintenance departments.
Recommending to the Production Manager any enhancement to the
process flow.
