Thompson family lived. The family
consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson,
their two children, Lily and Alex, and
their playful dog, Buster.

spread among the children,

their plants.
One day, Lily and her
friends decided to hold a
meeting under the giant oak
tree, Old Oaky. As they
discussed their plants, Old
Oaky rustled its leaves and
whispered a secret. The

The plants told the children
about their lives – how they
drank water through their
roots, basked in the sun to
make food, and danced in
the wind. The children
learned that plants are
living things, just like them,
but with different needs and
ways of communicating.

has a story and a life of its
own.
