Midjourney: Exploring the Creative Power of AI-Generated Images

Objective:

This research explores how to create logos using both Midjourney AI and Canva. The study

seeks to understand the strengths of Midjourney AI in generating logo options based on text

descriptions and the benefits of using Canva to refine and customize logos further with text editing

and design features. Combining these two tools, the research aims to identify a practical and

efficient approach for content creators and designers to produce professional and unique logos that

accurately represent brand identities.

Introduction:

Midjourney is a research laboratory that provides an AI program capable of generating

images based on textual descriptions, resembling OpenAI's DALL-E and Stable Diffusion models.

The underlying technology is believed to be rooted in Stable Diffusion. Midjourney is in an open

beta phase that commenced on July 12, 2022. The team,

led by David Holz, co-founder of Leap Motion, has

already achieved profitability, as stated by Holz. Users

can engage with Midjourney's Discord bot using

specific commands to create images.

A creative tool called Midjourney AI enables

users to create original worlds, characters, and graphics

with just brief text descriptions. An AI text-to-image

converter program creates images in response to your commands. You need a Discord account to

use the service. After a certain number of free photographs, you must pay a monthly charge for

unrestricted image production, according to Midjourney. Two hundred pictures cost $8, and

unlimited access costs $24 monthly.

How to access Midjourney on Discord?

1. By accessing Discord, we could see explore discoverable servers, and there we can see

Midjourney.

3. After getting started, you will be instructed on how to use Midjourney and how to use

prompts properly.

Here is one example of using prompts in Midjourney:

You must enter a command to use the Midjourney Bot on Discord. You can use commands

to take photos, change the default settings, keep track of user information, and carry out other

beneficial tasks. Use the /imagine command followed by a brief written description, a Prompt, to

indicate the type of image you wish to create. After that, the bot will create a unique graphic,

depending on your input.

Image content allowed: fiction, fantasy, mythology, respectful parodies, satire, caricatures,

imaginary or exaggerated scenarios; not disrespectful, harmful, misleading, hate speech, violence,

demand of users attempting to take unfair advantage of the free trial offer are the causes. The

another free trial, it will entice people to upgrade to a premium subscription.

While Midjourney may not provide extensive text editing capabilities, you can complement

its logo generation by utilizing graphic design software such as Illustrator or online platforms like

Canva. These tools offer a wide range of text customization options, allowing you to add, modify,

and refine text elements within your generated logo designs. With their intuitive interfaces and

diverse font libraries, Illustrator and Canva enable you to experiment with different typography

styles, sizes, colors, and alignments to achieve the desired aesthetic and ensure the text

complements your logo design effectively. Additionally, these platforms offer advanced features

like text effects, letter spacing adjustments, and text path manipulation, empowering you to create

or “Type a command.”

Logo — Logos represent a given organization or company through a visual image that can be

easily understood and recognized. A logo generally involves symbols, stylized text, or both. A

graphic artist often creates logos with a company and marketing experts.
