You Do: The teacher ask the whole class to recite and
interpret the poem.

When the whole class can do it well already, the


performance may now be by groups of 5, then individually.

Ask the following questions after the recitation activity.


1. What is the title of the poem?
2. Who wrote the poem?
3. What is the color of the cow?
Building 4. What does the cow give to us?
Connections 13 minutes 5. How should we take care of the cow?
through Questions 6. Should we also take care of other animals? Why?
7. What shall we do so that animals will always have
food to eat?
8. In the poem, what words rhyme in the first stanza of
the poem? In the second stanza? In the third stanza?
Let the learners sing the song Old Mac Donald.
Transition

Drawing/Coloring The learners may either:


Activity/Journal 1. Draw their pets at home.

Writing 2. Describe their pets in 2-3 sentences.

Activity
Call 2-3 learners.
For those drawing their pets, they may be ask to tell
