Bi Chorus Manual 2020
Features:
1. True bypass on / off switch, no loss of tone when off. Labelled “ON”
2. Two LED indicators, A or B blinks when ON, indicating speed and side selected.
3. One chorus circuit with 2 sets of SPEED and DEPTH knobs for two settings.
4. Press A-B Switch at any time to select between A and B settings.
5. Battery disconnected when INPUT cord removed, or POWER cable inserted.
6. Jack for 9vDC adapter, barrel type, (-) center. Try 12Vdc for more headroom!
7. Do not exceed 12V for stereo version, for mono up to 18V is ok but 15V is optimal.
8. DEPTH knobs allow exact setting of depth, one on each side.
9. SPEED control knobs: from very low speed, to faster than a leslie at high speed.
10. MIX pot inside (white)/or optional External Mix Knob. Adjust to the middle mark for
normal sound. Turn CW a little for more dry, or CCW for more chorusing. More than
1/8th turn may sound odd and get louder.
11. All aNaLoG full chorus, original 1024 stage bbd chips used for high fidelity.
12. Strong, High quality Hammond style die-cast aluminum box..
13. Sockets used for all chips, for easier replacement in the rare case of a failure.
14. JRC4558 op amp used, as in the TS-808 mod, in place of generic 4558 chip.
15. One year warranty except for damage from misuse or gorilla-like stomping.
16. Cool silk-screened case with durable hammer finish powdercoating.
17. Optional Depth Toggle sets delay time, center is thin, left normal and right deep/thick.
18. Stereo option: true stereo, either output can be used in mono.
19. If you combine both outputs of the Stereo Chorus into mono, the effect will be lost. This is the same with most stereo choruses
like Boss CE-2, Ibanez CS-9, Arion SCH-1, etc.
OPERATION
Plug in guitar on right (IN) and amp on left (OUT). Insert a good alkaline battery or a regulated 9V DC (not AC!) power
adapter, Boss PSA style, center negative. An LED will light and BLINK at the RATE speed if effect is ON and you will hear the
chorusing. If un-effected sound comes out when LED is on, or distortion is heard, the BLUE BIAS TRIM POT inside may need
adjustment. It should be set roughly to 8:00 as seen above. If adjustment is needed, turn the effect ON, hit the guitar
strings, and adjust the trim pot to the center of the range in which the chorusing sound is heard. Turn the white center part
gently with a very small screwdriver. The trim pot does not change the tone, it adjusts a bias voltage. For MONO operation
of a stereo model, the top (or center if top jacks) output jack is used for our normal MONO chorus sound. The bottom (or
leftmost with top jacks) one can also be used in mono for a slightly different sound.
