CREATING A BASIC PROJECT


Create a new project with the given tasks and resources.
Then do the following 1. Sequence the tasks 2.Add Summary tasks 3. assign resources
4. Set Auto mode for tasks 5. Change project startdate 6. Set baseline 7. turn off
timeline 8. Track the progress of project

Step 1: Open project "Business Plan"


Step 2:Change project start date to
"12/6/2023"
Step 3: Go to "Task Sheet" view
1. Add two new columns: Constraint Type and Constraint Date
2. Change the constraint of Phase 2 task to "Start no earlier than" current date
Step 4: Create a custom calendar and Change nonworking days to Friday and Saturday.
Step 5: Reduce working time for the month of January
Step 6: Set September 23 as Holiday

Manually Schedule vs. Auto Schedule

Describe which project functions are turned off for tasks using Manually Schedule mode.
Change the task mode from Manually Schedule to Auto Schedule and back.
