Hi, my name is Arjun from Hyderabad. I have overall 8.2 years of experience and 4.8 years of experience into SAP
security and GRC, from TechMahindra. I have come out of TechMahindra on April 14th 2023, 2 months back and I
am looking for career in SAP security.

Difference between Derived role and Master role?

Derived roles are also single roles that have inherited authorization characteristics from a separate "master" role.

Master Role: Maintained All the Transaction codes and related authorization objects.

Derived Role: Only Organization level values are maintained in derived role the only difference remains in the
organization level area

Composite role: Collection of single and derived roles

What are the tables associated to SU24?

USOBT_C, USOBX_C

What is the maximum Length of Role, ( If I’m creating the role what is the maximum length of the role, like how
many characters can we use in the role)

How many user types are there in the SAP?

There are 5 types of user types

1. Dialog

Interactive, password parameters applied, GUI login is require

2. Service

Used for multiple logons (FFID), GUI is required & password parameters not applied

3. System

Used for internal communication, Password and GUI is not allowed

4. Communication

Used for external communication, Password and GUI is not allowed

5. Reference
Used for providing extra access to dialog user

What is the difference between Communication and System type?
