THE SITUATION
▪ ABC Eatery, a fictitious restaurant serving an
international cuisine contracted our company, to
help analyze their first quarter orders

▪ Two (2) CSV files were provided:


• Order details
• Menu items
THE INTEREST
▪ ABC Eatery are interested in knowing the answers to
some key business questions

▪ The least and most ordered items? The categories they


are in?
▪ Were there certain times that had more or less orders?
▪ What the highest spend orders look like? Which item did
they buy and how much did they spend?
▪ Which menu items should they focus developing in each
cuisine based on the data?
THE ANALYTIC STEPS
▪ The analytic steps that were taken includes:

• In the American Cuisine, we should focus on the Hamburger and Cheeseburger as the are top ordered and revenue
generating items
• In the Asian Cuisine, we have Korean Beef Bowl as the third most ordered and highest revenue item and also Tofu Pad Thai
• In the Italian Cuisine, the Spaghetti & Meatballs menu is the second revenue generating item and 8th most ordered item
• In the Mexican Cuisine, the Steak Torta is the 7th most ordered and rank 8 in revenue generating items
SUMMARY
❑ The orders is generally the same, except for February where there is 8.7% drop,
which step up in March

❑ There are four peak order hours: 12pm, 1pm, 5pm, and 6pm. These hours account
for 45% of the total orders and as such the business should focus more at these
hours and have manpower to fulfill the orders

❑ Hamburger is the most ordered. The business should consider dropping the
least ordered item; the Chicken tacos

❑ The Italian Cuisine is the most ordered category among our top spend customers,
so the business should focus on developing its menus

❑ Based on the orders and revenue, these menus items Hamburger &
Cheeseburger (American), Korean beef bowl & Tofu pad Thai (Asian), Spaghetti &
Meatballs (Italian) and Steak Torta (Mexican) are menus worth keeping and
developing in each cuisine
