1. Ask the learners to observe the weather.
2. Let them draw the day’s weather on their booklet.

Competencies:

 Natutukoy ang mga magagandang bagay na makikita sa paligid

Materials: watercolor, worksheet
Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to make raindrops by printing their thumbs using
watercolor.
2. Exhibit the learners’ works and have a simple presentation.

GROUP 2: Raindrops Suncatchers

Competencies:
 Tell and describe the different kinds of weather (sunny, rainy,
cloudy, stormy, windy) (PNEKE-00-1)
 Paglikha ng mga modelo pangkaraniwang bagay sa paligid
(KPKFM-00-1.6)
 Pagpilas/paggupit/pagdikit ng papel (KPKFM -00-1.3)

Materials: colored papers, pair of scissors, glue, twigs, yarn


Procedure:
1. Place and glue the raindrop patterns on the colored papers.
2. Guide the learners in cutting the pieces of raindrops.
3. Make a hole on the edge of the raindrop and tie it with yarn.
4. Tie the other side of the yarn on a twig.
5. Use the same procedure for other raindrops. The learners will
decide on the number of raindrops they like to make.
6. Have a simple presentation after.

GROUP 3: Umbrella Mosaic

Competencies:
 Tell and describe the different kinds of weather (sunny, rainy,
cloudy, stormy, windy) (PNEKE-00-1)
 Identify what we wear and use for each kind of weather (PNEKE-
00-2)

Materials: small pieces of papers, glue, worksheets


Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to paste small colorful pieces of paper into the
umbrella.
2. Discuss the importance of using umbrella during rainy season.
3. Have a simple presentation after.

GROUP 4: Rainy Day Playdough Mat

Competencies:
 Tell and describe the different kinds of weather (sunny, rainy,
cloudy, stormy, windy) (PNEKE-00-1)
 Nakapagmomolde ng luwad (clay) sa nais na anyo (SKMP-00-6)

Materials: playdough, workshe


Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to cover the raindrops pattern with blue molding
clay or playdough.
2. Exhibit the learners’ works and have a simple presentation.

GROUP 5: Letter Ññ Tracing

Competencies:
 Identify the letters of the alphabet (mother tongue, ortography)

Materials: worksheet, pencil

Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to trace the letter Ññ repeatedly until they fill up
the page.

 Decorate suncatchers in a creative way.
 Color the umbrella using different colors.
 Cover the raindrops using playdough.
 Identify the name and sound of letter Ññ.

Transition to Meeting The teacher reminds the learners about the time left in Work Period
Time 2 Time 1 around 15 minutes before Meeting Time 2. After 10 minutes, the
teacher tells the learners to start packing away the materials they used
and be ready for Meeting Time 2. A transition song or a countdown
may be used.

Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to match the number on the left with the correct
numbers of dots on the right.

GROUP 4: Raindrop Counting Activity

Competencies:

 Read and write numerals 0 to 10 (MKC-00-3)
 Count objects with one-to-one correspondence up to quantities of 10

Procedure:
1. Using their fingerprints, ask the learners to make raindrops with the
corresponding number inside the clouds.
