Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in 2016. UPI allows users to transfer money between bank
accounts using a single mobile application. Users can also pay merchants or service providers by
scanning a QR code or entering a UPI ID.
Some of the features of UPI are:

through one app.
 It is fast, secure, and convenient, as it does not require users to enter bank details or card numbers
for each transaction.

recharges, online shopping, etc.
 It has low transaction fees, as it does not involve intermediaries or third-party service providers .

name@bank or mobile number@bank.
 To send money, the user can either enter the recipient’s UPI ID or scan their QR code and enter
the amount and a remark (optional).
 To receive money, the user can either share their UPI ID or QR code with the sender or request
money from them through the app.

ID and the amount and confirm the payment.
