Required Data 1: Now Click on the Create Features and draw polygons as shown in the

following figure using the snapping tool.

Required Data 2: Snap to the south east vertex of the third polygon, on the keyboard, press
the tab Key, now the direction is editable “ N98-52-20E” and then press Tap immediately
the distance is editable “ 398.44” m.
Required Data 3: Click to create a vertex, on the keyboard, press the tab Key, now the
direction is editable “ N98-51-48E” and then press Tap immediately the distance is editable
“ 398.23” m.

Required Data 4: Using ArcCatalog > Create a new file geodatabase, by right click on the
folder “4- ARCGIS Pro, Editing vector data” and choose new file geodatabase, and rename
this database Sri Lanka

Required Data 5: Using ArcCatalog > right click on Sri Lanka database and choose new
feature class, name this feature class “interesting_places”, and choose its type point> click
next > then choose the co-ordinate system WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere).
Then click next till finish.

Required Data 6: Using ArcCatalog > right click on Sri Lanka database and choose new
feature class, name this feature class “coastline”, and choose its type polyline> click next >
then choose the co-ordinate system WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere). Then
click next till finish.

Required Data 7: Using ArcCatalog > right click on Sri Lanka database and choose new
feature class, name this feature class “national_parks”, and choose its type polygon> click
next > then choose the co-ordinate system WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere).
Then click next till finish
Required Data 8: Changing color and thickness of Symbols: If you would like to change the
color and/or thickness of the line, Click on the line under coastline in the Table of Contents
and choose a new color and width of the line.
Required Data 9: Add a field to the Attribute Table: Click the button in the upper right
corner of the table Attributes of coastline and choose Add Field.

Required Data 10: Add data to a cell in the field. Change the cell value of the field coast
from “Null” to “southern coastline” and press Enter. Then do not forget to
Save Edits.
Required Data11: Click and digitize the two national parks and the rain forest visible on
the map. Follow the contour of the National park and click to place vertices (double-click to
stop).

Required Data 12: Open the Attribute table for the theme and add a field called Name. The
field will contain text. Type in the names of the parks in the table.

Required Data 13: Add another field where you type in some species of animals living in
the parks. Do not forget to save your edits.
Required Data 14: Change the color of the polygons to give them an appropriate color for
parks/forests.

Required Data 15: Digitize at least 10 places of interest on the map and add a brief
description of each point in a new field of the attribute table.

Required Data 16: Return to the Create Feature Pan, Click on NorthVan Couver. Then
click on the map you now will create more than a copy. Click Save Edits.
Required Data 17: Create Two feature classes, One Polygon “Building” and the other point
“tree”. Enable the Z value and choose the coordinate system “WGS 1984 Web Mercator
(auxiliary sphere)”

Required Data 18: Choose Four Buildings in the layout out of the British University in
Egypt and Draw.
Required Data 19: Create three points on the feature class trees
Required Data 20: Click on the Layer Building and choose Appearance Type Then click on
the extrusion expression and write “12”

Required Data 21: In the search field, Type tree, choose the tree you prefer. Then Right
click on the tree layer in the content pan and choose properties> Display and click on the
“Display 3D on real unit world”.

Required Data 22: In the attribute table of the building add field called height “Short
integer”
Add the following the heights “6, 12, 20, 25”.

Required Data 23: On the appearance tab, in the Extrusion group, Click Type and choose
max height then click on field and choose the field “height”

Required Data 24: Create a feature class, multipatch “Building_ multipatch” choose the
coordinate system “WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)”
Required Data 25: Draw the required building as shown in the following figure.
