ENDORSEMENT DAY

(October 19, 2023)

Name: Sanchez, John Paul Vincent S.

Course/Year: BTLED IV

Venue: Silangang Malicboy National High School (SMNHS)

Cooperating Teacher: Mrs. Maria Corazon C. Tolentino

Authorized Endorsing Officer: Mrs. Sonia Oreto, Mrs. Anita V. Paunil,

Mr. Kenji

Endorsement day, first day of my venture in an unknown territory. In

the midst of my wildest dream, my alarm woke me up early in the morning,
7:00 am to be exact. I'd prepared all the necessary things to bring in the
much awaited endorsement day. We were advised by our formator Dr.
Genoveva A. Verdaguer last conference to be in our assigned school early
to the already set time which was 10:30am so, I'd arrived at SMNHS
Silangang Malicboy National High School exactly 9:00am. I, together with
my 16 co- pre service teachers waited near the main gate of SMNHS for 1
hour and 30 minutes while looking at the enchanted place, with a
breathtaking scenery and cool ambiance. My mind that time has full of
excitement and quiet nervousness like there's a butterfly in my stomach.
Time flies so fast indeed, Exactly 10:30 am Ma'am Sonia Oreto, Ma'am
Anita Paunil and sir Kenjie Kano our advisers and endorsers from CVE
Colleges Inc. arrived at the gate of SMNHS, we were thrilled to their arrival.

Their arrival means the start of our transformational, life changing and
wondrous journey in SMNHS. While we were walking towards the venue of
our endorsement at SMNHS Court, I heard a heartwarming voice coming
from the venue and it was the voice of their Principal, Ma’am Leonila R.
Dayag, She welcomed us with big smile on her face and a round of
applause from the different teachers of TLE and TVL from G7- G12, We
had a simple and short program, starting from the opening remarks of
Ma’am Leonila R. Dayag and followed by the individual introduction of each
Pre-service teachers. My introduction goes like this in verbatim “ Good
morning Ma’am Leonila R. Dayag. Good morning Teachers, My name is
John Paul Vincent S. Sanchez, a pre-service teacher from CVE Colleges
Inc, Thank you very much for the warm welcome.I am happy to be here
and I know that I will learn a lot from this prestigious school where holistic
training is given.” after my introduction, my cooperating teacher was also
introduce to me and she was Ma’am Maria Corazon C. Tolentino, Grade 12
Gold adviser; EPAS and General Mathematics subject Teacher. I also have
a partner, my co-PST Ma’am Janna Mae Tinamisan, after everyone’s
introduction, I and Ma’am Janna had a simple talk with our CT, She
introduce herself to us formally and we had a simple picture taking, Ma’am
Tolentino requested to us if we may create a Group Chat in Facebook for
updates and better communication. We thanked ma’am, said our goodbyes
and parted ways. After that we shortly explore the campus and I am
stunned to the vastness of the school land area, I also love the tremendous
tree and the green relaxing scenery. Overall, our Endorsement day was a
success. Thanks be to God.

THE MANDATE

The Department of Education was established through the Education

Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a
Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in
the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing
administrations and charters. The present day Department of Education
was eventually mandated through Republic Act 9155, otherwise known as
the Governance of Basic Education act of 2001 which establishes the
mandate of this agency. The Department of Education (DepEd) formulates,
implements, and coordinate's policies, plans, programs and projects in the
areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all
elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative
learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the
establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated
system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.
