•STORY TELLING
Our story for this episode will talk about the infamous case of the Alphabet Murders. It is one of the
well-known cases in the United States that occurred in the 1970’s. This case involves the killings of three
young girls, each with initials matching their first and last names. They were Carmen Colon, 10 years old-
killed in 1971 in Rochester, New York. Wanda Walkowicz, 11 years old- killed in 1973 in Rochester, New
York. And Michelle Maenza, 11 years old - killed in 1973 in nearby Macedon, New York. This case does
not only match with the victims name and age, but also the pattern of how they were killed. All of these
victims were killed by being strangled to death by the murderer. The bodies of the victims were left
behind by the murderer in different locations, thus contributing more to the mystery of this case.
Regardless of the investigations done by the police, the identity of the killer is still unknown up to this
moment.

•CONCLUSION
Mysteries will either stay as mysteries, or going to be solved by someone. There is no such thing as a
perfect crime, it will always have it’s loopholes. Maybe some cases just have a very tiny loophole that
most of us can’t find. Either way, it’s not perfect. Once again, this is Radio 20.24
Crimes that are unsolved, give us your thoughts! Until the next mystery.
