1. I think the self qualities that have developed in me through service learning are my
communication skills, self confidence and leadership. I am no longer too shy to say or
express the things I want to convey to others and I am learning more to interact with
others. My confidence is also not the same as before, which is very low to the point that
I am losing hope in life. And leadership, I have shown here that I can be a good leader
and to inspire many more young people. These qualities will help me in the future to
continue what I started to help others especially children who want to learn but are
having difficulty due to the current situation and lack of money.
2. To motivate others to get involved in various types of service learning or experience. I
can invite them to try what I am doing to help children learn online. I can also share
with them the things I have learned and developed on my own. And how good it feels to
help others even in small things. I believe that if I am able to inspire children I can also
inspire others to help.
3. Service learning is related to my course because I am a BSTM student and our main
responsibility is to provide good and quality service to others. That's why it's so
important for me to learn to help others and take initiative. These experiences will not
only benefit me now as a BSTM student, I will also be able to use the experiences and
self-development that I gained when I graduated and had to face the realities of life.
4. I met children like Jomar, a grade 7 student, a neighbor of my uncle in the province. I
help him to answer his modules via video call in the messenger app. He is a very
hardworking child and also very smart, he is not difficult to teach so we can easily
finish his modules. It's fun to think that he has many people who can be approached to
teach him but I'm one of his chosen ones.
5. The most challenging thing that happened was when I had so much work to do at
school but I was still thinking about how to find a way to help them. There are still times
when I don't help them anymore because I'm busy too. Another challenging time is
when they don't have signals, especially jhomar who is in the province, I would like to
give him a long time to teach, but we just waste our time sometimes to find a good
signal. but you know what's the best part? even if they sometimes have difficulty with
the signal or internet connection they can still make their way in order to learn. And it
feels so good to have encountered children in the midst of pandemic and poverty that
still dreaming of life and striving to study and learn through me.

Since pandemic happened New Normal has begun and online classes has been
all hard for us because we are all used to study in a traditional way which is a
face to face classes. With a new learning method which is online classes
brought many of us students on how to adjust with this new learning method
thinking that “is this new learning method is effective to students and really
will learned” or “We just need to take this online class because we just need to
pass and not to learned”? that is most of students mindset since this new
learning method has been implemented that cause students of affecting our
mental health because we don’t know what to do anymore on how to survive
this new learning method anymore but still as student we are still keep fighting
and keeping our self even more stronger to surpass this challenges.

My sister Redgie is struggling with her studies with a new learning method
which is online, my sister is now at grade level of 4 and I can see that the
learnings she got through online is not enough that’s why she always seeking a
help for my mother but my mother couldn’t help her all the time because my
mother has also a work and I am not around to accompany my sister because I
am not with them because I was in the province but with the help of the
technology and application which is the cellphone and the messenger app I
always help my sister through communicating her through online with the use
of messenger every time that my sister seeking for help for her modules and
assignments we always do video call online and I teach what she need to do to
accomplish it because I know that online learning is really hard because I am
also experiencing it and sometimes I feel that I want to give up but still I keep
fighting for my dreams that’s why I always accompany my sister and to help
her always because I don’t want her to lose hope also I want to keep her always
motivated and inspired so that she won’t be feel stressed because of
academics I want her always think that no matter what happen I am always
here to help her and to guide her all the time whenever she needs me.

I therefore conclude that if you have siblings, nephew or children who seeks
help about their online studies go help them as you can because they need us
and they should at least learned because the only who can help them is us
people especially students because what children feels we much know how
does it feels more because we are come over through it and we should help
them from the way that we can help them because our parents couldn’t help
them anymore because they are not that knowledgeable enough anymore
about our new learning method. So as students who much more
knowledgeable about this new learning should help our siblings, nephews, or
children to share them a knowledge that they need to learn because learning
and listening through online class by the school is not enough because most of
students especially kids gets distracted easily without proper guidance so the
best effective way is to teach them and make them learned of what they
should learned.

1. The personal qualities that I have developed through service learning is I improved my
leadership, self-confidence, and I am being more compassionate to other people. I
know that with these improved personal qualities will help me to guide to be a good
example to everyone that I can be a good leader that can inspire other people to live a
good purpose in a life, a good purpose that something could help us to change our
future in a good way and to do good deeds in life such as helping other people,
volunteer with an organization, online teaching, community pantry and many more.
2. I would say to them how really good the feeling to be involved in service experiences.
That it’s really an overwhelming feeling to help others and with this service experience
you will be inspired that you’re not just doing a good deeds but also you’re helping
yourself to develop and improve more your leadership skills. As student, if I get these
people attentions to be involved also in service experience then eventually it’s going to
mount a big difference to our society because as people it is our responsibility to help,
contribute and volunteer so that we can help each of us.
3. As a tourism student with this service-learning experience it help and thought me on
how to be more a good and effective leader. It also improve my skill to be more
responsible on how handle things and to develop on what I can do more in this world to
contribute as an individual in this society.
4. The people I met during my service-learning experienced was my young beautiful
sister. She is very a hardworking and smart kid like me because I always taught her
always to do her best so that our parents will be more proud of her someday to
succeed her dreams.
5. The best challenging for me from doing this service learning is that I am so happy
because even that I am far I still could help my sister to do her modules, assignments
to accomplish it by just using online communication through messenger app. The
worst challenging for me from doing this is that when I am busy because of my studies
also I can’t sometimes focus to help my sister because I am also fully loaded because
of my activities and task performance that I need also to pass on time and that is the
worst thing sometimes if I am fully loaded I can’t be able to help my sister on time but
still I am doing my best and doing a way to help her even I am fully loaded. The most
challenging thing happened to me is that when my whole body is tired both mentally
and physically my sister is also giving up her homework but I always said to her that no
matter what challenges you may encounter you should come up with it I always giving
her an advice to keep her more motivated and inspired to keep more even strong.

1. The personal qualities that I have developed are my communication skills and
leadership. Firstly, my communication skills have such great improvement. I feel
confident talking and expressing my thoughts which is needed to help children
properly. The leadership have helped me realize that I can be a good leader, it takes
time to develop this stage because it requires excellent confidence, but I did it. I
managed to have at least a good amount of skills in leadership. With these skills, it will
help me and the children to communicate and participate very well because I will not
stop improving myself and for sure I had developed and improved excellently in the
future.
2. It is up to people if they will offer to help in service experiences, but a motivation will be
nice to encourage them to help. I would help them have a consideration to the parents
and children. Telling them to be thoughtful and be considerate is the first step to make
them help because since it is pandemic, parents are working very hard to earn enough
money for their everyday needs which can cause children to have a hard time asking
for help by their parents, so it would be great if people or young adults offers their
helping hand and mind to teach children online without asking anything back.
3. The service-learning experience is very related to my course which is the BSTM, it is all
about providing great quality services to people. As a BSTM student, it is important and
my duty to help people which is why I will never stop learning and improving to provide
excellent service that will benefit me and the people I help.
4. I met Christine, a friend of my cousin who visits my cousin’s house often back then, she
also needs some help with her modules. She is very cooperative and she makes effort
to participate in our online tutor. She listens very well to what I say and has a light
energy which cause my cousin to participate as well.
5. The worst challenge that happened was when I have loads of tasks to do myself and I
find it hard to find a way to help them, what I do is I do my tasks ahead of time to be
able to give them my extra time, tutor them and help them with their task which they
have trouble answering. It is also hard if the Wi-Fi connection is not stable because I
wouldn’t be able to help my cousins in the province. The best thing that had happened
is when I received a message from the parents of my cousins saying how grateful they
are and that my cousins have great grades.

1. The qualities that I've develop through service learning is my confidence, and
communication skills. I learned that having confidence in yourself can give you more
knowledge and it can make other people inspired.
2. To motivate other people by sharing my own expience about this service learning and

help others we help them to fulfill their dreams.
3. As a Tourism student serving learning is a big part for my knowdlege its help me to

4. One of My niece anika, she is a grade 1 student, she lives in Sampaloc Manila. She is a
good girl, smart and she is open to ask me about something that she can't understand
specially her module.
5. The most challenging that happened is when I have a lot things to do like my own
school activity but I also give time to my niece so I can help her specially today
because her mother/my sister have a new born baby she can't focus to teach my niece.
And also the best things that happened is my niece is happy when we are in the
meeting, I feel blessed that I'am the one who is helping her because the feeling when I
see her smile its precious.

1. The self qualities i developed in this kind of service learning are, my leadership skills
and self confidence. Because of this, i encountered some things that challenged me as
a person. Specially on handling those hard times when it comes to online teaching. I
usually solved those problems more fast and reliant and that is one of my skills i want
to improved when it comes to leadership. By this knowledge i gain from this, I'll use this
as a self motivation to improved my self confidence, so in the near future I can use this
in different variety of field related works and self improvements.
2. All I want to them to realized is how good is the feeling to be involved in this kind of
activity, not just you're doing a good things, but you also made the hard things easy to
others specially to those people who are having hard times.
3. As a tourism student a lot of skills are need to improve and developed thru the years.
Service learning has a lot to offer when it comes leadership skills and other stuffs that is
also related to tourism industry. One thing is also that tourism industry is very related
to a lot of people. Same with service learning, thus is very related and closed to many
people.
4. The person I met is my cousin who lives in province. And we have a good time
discussing lessons and answering some answering sheets that he needs for a whole
week. And i found this incredible and satisfying specially when I am seeing a happy kid
who finishes his school task.
5. For me the worst challenge i encountered in this activity. Is the hard times to attend on
our video chat on time. Specially I also do a lot of school works and house works
together with my day to day jobs. I found this very difficult because after i do this
workloads for a day. My whole body is already tired both mentally and physically but in
the end I really need to this activity. To ensure that I' am making duty as the one who
helped my cousin in his school works.
