Approx. 4 gram color changing 8/4 cotton yarn for the body.
Approx. 2–3 gram solid colored 8/4 cotton yarn for the head.

Gauge:
Gauge is important to keep in mind so that the filling does not come through or is visible
between the stitches. Use a crochet hook that fits your yarn.
Color distribution:
You start crocheting with the color changing yarn to the body and then change to the
solid colored yarn when you reach the head. This is described in the pattern.
St - stitch
Ch – ch
Ss – slip stitch
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
Tr - treble
Dec – decrease: crochet 2 sc or 2 hdc together in next two stitches.
Inc – increase: crochet 2 sc or 2 hdc in next stitch.
Yo – yarn over
Pattern notes:
• This pattern is crocheted in a spiral. Use a marker to mark the first stitch in each
round.
• Stitches made in a hdc is always made in the third loop.
• Stitches between ( ) are repeated as many times as indicated after the parentheses.
• Stitches between [ ] are repeated as many times as indicated after the square brackets.
• Stitches between | | shows how many stitches you should have after completing the
round.
Tip: Crochet the ch for the tail extra tight so it stands up better.

All stitches in rounds 2-11 are crocheted in the third loop of the hdc in the previous row.
When you crochet the last hdc, you change color by making the last pull-through with
your solid color for the head. Tie the threads together tightly on the inside.
Yo, insert the hook in next st, yo and pull through, yo and
pull through 2 loops,

Tip: Make the sc after the ear extra tight to make the ear pop.

Closing details:
Crochet 3sc, remove the hook and pull through the yarn.
Sew the nose together with a tapestry needle by threading
the yarn in the front loop in every other st and then
tighten. Fasten the thread carefully.
