Materials: 2

Yarn:

Approx. 4 gram color changing 8/4 cotton yarn for the body.

Approx. 2–3 gram solid colored 8/4 cotton yarn for the head.

Small piece of black cotton yarn to embroider nose and eyes with.

Hook: 2.5 mm.

✓ 1 marker
✓ Filling
✓ Tapestry needle
✓ Scissors

Size and shape:

The Rainbow Mouse is crocheted in a spiral from the tail to the head, and the whole
mouse is crocheted in one sweep. If you use 8/4 (fingering) cotton yarn and crochet hook
2.5 mm, the mouse will measure about 6.5 cm long and 12 cm in circumference around
the body.

Gauge:

Gauge is important to keep in mind so that the filling does not come through or is visible
between the stitches. Use a crochet hook that fits your yarn.

Color distribution:
You start crocheting with the color changing yarn to the body and then change to the
solid colored yarn when you reach the head. This is described in the pattern.

Round 16: 2sc, dec, 3sc, dec, 2sc. |9 sc|

Closing details:
Crochet 3sc, remove the hook and pull through the yarn.
Sew the nose together with a tapestry needle by threading
the yarn in the front loop in every other st and then
tighten. Fasten the thread carefully.

Embroider eyes and nose with black yarn or thread. I

have embroidered my eyes with 3–4 stitches over a stitch
2 rounds under the ears.

Make sure that the padding does not peek out and enjoy your new little friend!
