To get rid of your weaknesses in writing a professional/an academic paragraph, I would like to suggest

you consider the following points as well as utilize/apply them in your weekly writing assignments:

➢ For a handwritten paragraph, we have been suggested to consider the followings points:
1. Paper: Use 81⁄2-inch-by-11-inch lined, three-hole paper. The three holes should be on the left
side as you write.
2. Ink: You can use black or dark blue ink only.
3. Headings: You can write your full name in the upper left corner, and on the next line, you can
write the course number. On the third line of the heading, you can write the date that your writing
assignment is due in the order month-day-year (July 24, 2020) use a comma after the day.
4. Assignment Title: You can always center the title of your paragraph on the first line (in the middle
or half way point) of the page/paper.
5. Body: You can skip one line, and you may start writing on the third line.

Note: You can intent (move five spaces to the right side of the paper or tap the tab button once only).
Or: move the first sentence 1⁄2 inch from the left margin.

6. Margins: you can leave a 1-icnh margin on the left and right sides as well as at the bottom of the
page.
7. Spacing: You can leave a blank line between each line of your writing.

➢ For a computer-written paragraph, we have been suggested to consider the followings points:
1. Paper: You can use 81⁄2-inch-by-11-inch white paper.
2. Font: You can use a standard font, such us Times New Romance. Do not use underlining, italics,
or bold type to emphasize words. It is not correct to do so in academic writing. You can use
underlining or italics only when required for titles of books and some other publications.
3. Heading: You can type your full name in the upper left corner 1⁄2 inch from the top of the page.
On the next line, type the course number. On the third line of the heading, type the date the
assignment is due in the order month-day-year with a comma after the day.
4. Assignment Title: You can skip one line, and then center the title of your assignment. You can use
the centering icon on your word processing program of your computer.
5. Body: You can skip one line, and start typing on the third line. You can also use the TAB key to
intent (move to the right) the first line of your paragraph. (The TAB key automatically indents five
spaces.)
6. Margins: You can leave a 1-inch margin on the left, right and bottom of your paper.
7. Spacing: you can use double-space for the body of your paragraph. (Utilize double-space between
the sentences in your paragraph.)
