Database and Data Analytics Specialist

Location and Modality:


Offsite (available at least partly at New York business hours).
The duration is until end of 2023, with possibility for an extension.

The applicant should be an experienced hands-on Database and Data Analytics specialist with a history
of working in an agile environment

Candidates need to have hands on experience with


 Identifying, and optimizing appropriate data sources for analytics projects
 Developing and implementing databases and data collection systems
 Developing and implementing various analysis, reporting and quality control capabilities
 Providing advice on how data can be utilized to improve decision making within the knowledge
domain
 Researching approaches and explore methods that will lead to innovative data products

The specialist should have a deep understanding of MongoDB, Microsoft Fabric services, Power BI, and
other services and proficiency in the MEAN stack technology

Tasks and deliverables:


 Work with an agile team to design and implement data analytics solutions
 Work within the development team to optimize existing data sources (including but not limited
to MongoDB collections) for data analytics projects
 Provide advice to business users in using Power BI to develop dashboards and reports
 Make data imports, transformations and loads available for front end dashboards including
Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
 Provide support to end user created Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations

Quality Assurance:
 All tasks will be assigned in a Kanban type process by the Technical Lead, with progress being
tracked in daily team meetings (morning hours EST time zone)
 Tasks will be considered completed after sign-off by Business Owner or Technical Lead

Required skills and experiences:

 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data analytics projects, data models, data
transformations and data visualizations
 3 years of hands-on experience working with MongoDB
 3 years of hands-on experience with programming languages, incl. MEAN stack
 Experience with Microsoft Data Analytics products (PowerBI, Fabric)
 Demonstrated experience with Data file type processing JSON and XML
 Ability to design data models using Enterprise Data modeling tools
 Experience using Azure DevOps, CI/CD as well as Agile tools and processes including Git
English language proficiency (oral and written)

Academic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in information systems related area is a plus.
Microsoft Fabric experience/certifications from Industry leading institutions is a plus.
