Firmware Update Instructions


Before you start please ensure:

 You have downloaded and saved the latest firmware update file from
www.bowers-wilkins.com or www.bwgroupsupport.com to your computer.

 If you have not already done so, download and installed the Bowers & Wilkins
AirPlay Setup App for Windows, Mac, or iOS devices. This can be downloaded
from the App Store for iOS devices, or from www.bowers-wilkins.com/setupapp
for Windows and Mac.

 That the Wireless Music System has been setup and configured to your wireless
network. It is not possible to update the firmware on a Wireless Music System
that is not already connected to a network.

 The computer being used to update the firmware is connected to the same
wireless network as the Wireless Music System.

 The Wireless Music System is powered on and is displaying a solid purple


indicator.

1. Open the Bowers & Wilkins Setup app, and click on the 'Manage' button.

2. Provided that the device you are running the app on is connected to the same
network that the Wireless Music System is connected to, your speaker(s) will be
displayed. Select the Wireless Music System you wish to update the firmware on.

3. In the top right corner of the next page will be an information button 'i'. Press on
this and further information regarding the Wireless Music System is displayed.

4. On this page the IP Address for the Wireless Music System is displayed. On the
computer used to download the firmware file (at Step 1), open up your web
browser and type the IP Address into the address bar and press Enter.

5. On the page that loads, click the 'Firmware' link located near the top of the
page.

6. Then click 'Prepare for Firmware'. The Wireless Music Systems indicator will
change to solid white indicating that firmware update mode has been entered.

7. On the next page, click on the 'Choose File' button, and locate the downloaded
firmware file (.fw).

8. Once the firmware file has been selected click 'Upload', and the firmware will
begin to install.

9. You will then be presented with a message stating that the update was
successful. The indicator will start to pulse red and then turn solid purple. Click
OK.

10. The webpage can then be closed and you can continue to use the Wireless
Music System as normal.
