OFFER OF ADMISSION - DIPLOMA IN NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

With reference to your application for admission, I am happy to inform you that you have been offered admission to this University to pursue a 2-year

programme leading to the award of DIPLOMA IN NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT at the Department of Natural Resources Management in the

School Of Natural Resources. This offer is not transferable and only valid for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

1. This offer is based on the available information that you have satisfied the minimum entry requirements for the Programme. If the information is found

to be false or deficient at any time during your study, you would be withdrawn or your certificate revoked in the case where you have graduated.

2. The University reopens for freshmen on Friday January 19, 2024. Mandatory orientation of freshmen commences on Monday January 22, 2024 and

you would be required to fully participate.

3. You would be required to pay non-refundable fees of GHS 3,150.72 (Provisional) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year at any branch of GCB Bank,

Zenith Bank, Fidelity Bank, CBG, and Ecobank. You are required to make at least 50 percent payment within one week of receipt of admission to

guarantee your offer. You would, however, be able to register your courses only after paying at least 70 percent of your fees and pay the remainder

by the beginning of the Second Semester.

4. The University has limited spaces for freshmen who want to be considered for On-Campus Hall accommodation. On-Campus Hall accommodation

5. The University expects all students to be medically fit throughout their studies. You would be required to undergo a medical examination to be

conducted by the University Health Services at a date to be communicated later. You would be required to bring a chest X-ray at your own cost for

examination by the medical staff.

6. You shall be in good standing for the full duration of your programme of study and submit to all the rules and regulations of the University and exhaust

all internal processes for redress in the event of any difficulty.

7. You may be withdrawn from the University at any time for unsatisfactory academic work or gross misconduct, pursuant to the Statutes of the University

8. You would be required to pay all fees and register at the beginning of every semester for the entire duration of your Programme. Failure to register

would amount to abandoning the Programme.

9. The University reserves the right to make alterations to this offer either in the form of corrections or revocation if it is established the offer was made in

error.

Funding and Scholarship Opportunities

There are various opportunities for students who might want to source funding for their studies. Students who need any such assistance may explore the

following:

1. Student Loan Trust Fund

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) was established in December 2005 under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106. The objectives of the Trust

Fund are to provide financial resources for the sound management of the Trust for the benefit of students and to help promote and facilitate the national

ideals enshrined in Article 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution. Any Ghanaian student in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana studying an accredited

programme can apply for a loan. The following documents are required: Ghana Card, email address, and e-zwich card.

2. Ghana Education Trust Fund (GetFund)

The GETFund “provides financial, social, and academic support to Scholars. Financial support includes, but is not limited to, tuition fees, accommodation,

and other scholastic materials. The programme focuses on the narrow confines of the ‘brilliant but needy’ requirement to qualify for scholarship support at

both undergraduate and postgraduate level, GETFund scholarship recognizes that scholarship support can, and must, expand beyond that scope if it is to

make a more meaningful impact on society”.

3. Internal Scholarships

There are other scholarships that are awarded by the University to brilliant-but-needy students. Students can make enquiries at the Finance Directorate or

Office of the Dean of Students. The Students' Representative Council (SRC) also awards partial scholarships to brilliant-but-needy students. Students can

make enquiries from the offices of the SRC or the Dean of Students.

4. Other Scholarships

Some corporate institutions award scholarships based on several factors including excellent performance. The University regularly publishes calls for

application to these scholarships when they are advertised. Students should read notices or visit the University Website for information about such

scholarships.
