Information Systems is at the core of every business at every level of operation,
which included but not limited to capturing, analyzing, and storing of information. By designing and implementing a strategy with the integration of information systems helps businesses choose innovative ways to increase the viability and efficiency of a company. Management Information System mainly focuses on analysis, teamwork, leadership, project management, customer service, and underlying business theories. MIS professional thus has a completely unique role compared to a computer science professional. This is the prime reason for me desiring to study MIS for my higher education. My primary and secondary school methodology of teaching helped me to develop a profound interest in the field of science and technology right from the initial days with an early introduction of computers as a co-curricular activity. Academics have always been my strong hold. My inquisitive nature and a strong desire to ingrain the fundamental principles as well as techniques of any subject of study have enabled me to achieve an excellent academic record. More importantly, it has inculcated in me the methodology of scientific inquiry as reflected in my rigorous and analytic approach to problem solving. The choice to choose mechanical branch as a professional course was inspired by the appreciations I got whenever I did tabletop prototypes using mechanical principles for school science expos during my academic years to explain complex academic subjects in a simple way. I have completed my Bachelor’s in the stream of Mechanical Engineering at Ideal Institute of Technology. This is one of the finest institutions to study engineering, especially Mechanical Engineering. The faculty team is all research oriented and did give students a lot of insights along with the regular syllabus. Optimum use of lab infrastructure was encouraged to bring out the innovative spirit in the students. A plenty of workshops and seminars were scheduled all along the four year course. I have played a proactive role in these events which gave me an opportunity to discover my strengths and weakness with respect to soft skills. I realized that there is always room for improvement given the experiences of the past to perform good in the present and excel in the future. More than developing the technology by itself, I am more interested in leading the team and implementation part for different purposes to get a desired result. My interest in managing and leading projects dates back to my college days when I took part in numerous extracurricular and co-curricular activities representing my college. Juggling between different tasks taught me how to manage my time efficiently and I strongly believe the quote “well-planned is half done”. My skill sets included C, Python, MySQL, SAP BASIS, AWS Security, AWS Relation database, AWS Data migration Services, MS Excel, and MS Power point. I have successfully Completed Stream Training (BASIS) with a commendable performance. I signed up to volunteer for the 2019 general elections as a live webcast of the voting process. Suchirindia Foundation certified in the state-level science talent search examination and earned the 39th spot. I have received a certificate in an ONGC Essay Writing Competition. My professional experience started a year ago with Accenture Technologies as an Application Development Associate. I completed training in SQL, AWS, and SAP BASIS administration. I worked as a security consultant on a project called Dupont Milan M&M. Currently I am serving as a BASIS Consultant on the ADNOC ONE ERP 2.0 project. After a year of professional experience in one of the best MNCs, I felt I need an upskilling course and an international exposure to change my career path that would lead me to handle strategic roles in Management Information Systems. Going by the exchange of opinions and knowledge sharing from subject matter experts apart from the online research inputs, I chose to pursue MIS with a good internship as I felt my strong skills are at an organizing and execution level of technology and not in development of the solutions. Apart from the fact that US has a tradition of hosting a large number of international students with its cosmopolitan culture and student friendly society, the Universities in US welcomes and nurtures the talent pool from all across the globe creating an ecosystem for innovations to happen. Thus I chose US as the country to pursue my MIS. I went through the curriculum and the research works of the faculty at multiple Universities and this process taught me that Your University offered a good mix of courses in MIS curriculum. My main intention behind applying for this University apart from having a very good curriculum is it also provides internships in the collaboration of network of companies for hands on experience. Adding on, the labs of your university are well equipped with modern age technologies like advanced cloud computing, network protection, security analytics, and cloud security. This course will also help me to prepare for new-age careers in different areas of cloud and data engineering, product designing, and much more. I am sure that the practical exposure at your university will help in overall personality development. It will also help me to broaden my horizons and look for international opportunities as well. After my MIS in US, I intend to return to India to start my professional career in one of the reputed organizations at a key role as a MIS professional. With global companies choosing India as their hub for manufacturing, development of software, and providing services to their clientele across the globe, the international exposure for sure will allow me build a robust career. I, therefore, request you to kindly grant a merited consideration to my application for an opportunity to study Management Information Systems in Your University.
