NATIONAL DATABASE OF HUMAN
RESOURCE FOR HEALTH
INFORMATION SYSTEM

What is NDHRHIS?
The National Database of Human Resources for Health Information System or
NDHRHIS is a web-based system that contain information about the distribution of human
resources for health (HRH), specifically the following professions – doctors, nurses, midwives,
dentists, medical technologists, nutritionist-dietitians, pharmacists, physical therapists,
occupational therapists, radiologic technologists, and x-ray technologists.
Maintaining the NDHRHIS is essential as the statistical reports the system generates can be
used to support planning, formulate evidence-based policies, support proposed HRH-related
legislation, basis for demand-and-supply analyses of HRH and/or input to HRH workforce
projections.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. All public and private hospital and other health facilities shall participate and register
as facility user in the NDHRHIS based Data Collection System.
2. All hospital and other facilities shall regularly update the data HRH personnel
complement which includes;
a. Name, sex, date of birth
b. PRC license number
c. Profession
d. Specialty
e. Status of employment
3. A complete and updated HRH personnel data, as required by NDHRHIS, shall be
included as a requirement for the license and/or renewal of license or accreditation of
health facilities by DOH and Philhealth and registration of drugstores b FDA.

MODE OF DATA COLLECTION


1. On-line registration and encoding

a. Health facilities with internet access shall be required to register online and
use the web-based NDHRHIS (refer to the user friendly instructions).
b. A printed registration and log-in summary from the NDHRHIS website shall be
included as one of the documentary requirements for the licensing, and/or
renewal of licenses of concerned health facilities.
2. Manual Registration and encoding
a. Health facilities without internet access shall be required to accomplish the
NDHRHIS matrix.
b. The accomplished NDHRHIS matrix of the health facilities shall be submitted
to the HHRDB for encoding into the system.
