Windsock Company specialise in the manufacture and supply of windsocks
and associated equipment. Our windsocks are manufactured in the United
Kingdom and sold throughout the world for use in a wide range of aviation,
safety and industrial applications.

Sizes
Our standard stock range of D type fitting windsocks are shown on page 3
and highlighted in orange. All other sizes and variations not highlighted
and shown on pages 3 to 6 are made to order. Due to the requirements of
global sourcing we manufacture windsocks in both imperial and metric
dimensions - reflected in the many sizes shown on the following pages.
Fit t in gs & Fixin gs

Our D t ype fitting comes complete with fitted brass eyelets and cable ties.
It consists of a reinforced mouth fitted with a single row of brass eyelets.
We supply heavy duty black uv resistant cable ties as a quick and easy way
of securing the windsock to your windsock frame.
The D type fitting is suitable for most applications where the windsock is
being fitted to a windsock frame.
M at er ial
Our standard windsocks are made in durable polyester with polyurethane
coating, total weight of 195 gsm tested to ISO 105 (4), EN 471 and EN 343.
Colou r
Our standard windsocks are high visibility, fluorescent orange. Other
colours are available - refer to page 2.

Windsock Company serves a global market and this means we have to
supply a wide range of variations to our standard product range.
Customer requirements are often compiled from North American
specifications, competitor websites and buying details from purchasing
archives that go back long into the past.
Many years ago windsocks were mainly manufactured from Nylon and
many still are in the USA. However, polyest er is the optimum material for
windsocks due to its ability to absorb more of the bright orange dye and so
have a greater resistance to fading. Almost all UK commercially available
materials suitable for this application are polyester.
Our standard range of windsock sizes will satisfy most requirements but in
order to accommodate variations in specification or additions ( for example
printing) we will manufacture to specific requirements using a range of
techniques, commercially available materials and fitting types.

Made to order windsocks using materials other than our standard type
(detailed on page 1) are available, subject to the requirement, by quotation.
The alternative materials are:
Polyester, polyurethane coated, flame retardant, 240 gsm.
Polyester, uncoated, 172 gsm
Polyester, anti static grid, 236 gsm (picture right)
Nylon, polyurethane coated, 4 oz
Polyester, knitted, 115 gsm
Colou r
We manufacture, to order, windsocks in colours other than fluorescent
orange. Typically in red and white or orange and white stripes but also in
plain colours such as International Orange, red, yellow, green and blue.
