 Resort Event Management System
1. Introduction:
The purpose of this document is to make the complete system to handle all the
events of a resort through computerized and online system.
Resort Event Management System deals with all the types of events organized and
offered by the resort like rafting, night parties, seminars, occasional celebrations,
concerts, etc. In this system, customers can get information about available events
with all the details related to the particular events like event cost, timing, venue,
special offers. Once customers view all the events and request for event, the
system takes the customer’s request and manage the details of event.
Resort Event Management System makes easy as they don’t require to go through
the resort rather customer can collect information at home. The main purpose of
this project is to easily manage and provide information about events of resort to
customers in organized way.

2. Problem Statement:
 Potential customers may not be aware of the events and activities available at
the resort without event management website.
 Communication between the resort and customers may be insufficient because
customers have to visit resort for the simple information.
 Without event management website, to handle bookings and registrations,
customers may have to go through more difficult and time-consuming
processes to attend events.

3. Objectives:
 To show detailed information about events and activities offered by resort
using user-friendly interface.
 To enable easy communication between resort and customers through
different communication method provided in website.
 To provide customers easy and time saving bookings and registrations process
through website.

4. Methodology:
a) Requirement Gathering:
i) Study of Existing System
In order to develop a Resort Event Management System, it is essential to
understand the features and functionalities of existing systems in the same
domain. This will provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by
users, potential limitations of the system, and the best practices that can be
incorporated into our system. In our study of existing systems, we have

 found that many resort event management systems offer features such as
event scheduling, resource management, and attendee management.
However, some limitations were observed in terms of the user interface
and the ability to customize the system to meet the specific needs of the
resort. By studying existing systems, we aim to incorporate the best
features and practices into our system while overcoming any limitations
observed in the existing systems.

ii) Tools and Techniques:

 Front-End: HTML
CSS
JavaScript
 Back-End: PHP
 Database: MySQL
 Server: Apache
 Text Editor: Visual Studio Code

b) Feasibility Study
 Technical Feasibility:
It is technically feasible as we already have hardware and software
required for development of a software. Also, we have technical
knowledge on how the project is made through programming language
like JavaScript, PHP etc.

 Economic Feasibility:
The system does not require extra software and hardware i.e., it uses
open-source technologies. So, there is no recurring cost than just the
internet connection.

 Operational Feasibility:
It is operationally feasible as we are making this system by removing
the threats and weakness of existing non manageable system which is
reliable for the users.

c) High Level Design of System:

For the methodology of the proposed system, we will use Waterfall Model
to complete our project. As we know, the waterfall model illustrates the
software development process in a linear sequential flow. This means that
any phase in the development process begin only if the previous phase is
complete. As our goals and vision is already clear so, we will use waterfall
model in our proposed project.

5. Gantt Chart:
We are planning to finish the project within the first half of the June month with
fine throughput if our project work and class run smoothly.
The project is scheduled as follows:

6. Expected Outcome
 System should provide detailed information about events, services and
activities provided by resort.
 System should enable effective communication between resort and customers
through user-friendly interface.
 System should provide easy and time saving bookings and registrations
process.
