Assignment 4 Module 3A QuartDecPercent For Grouped Data

This document contains instructions for two problems involving the analysis of exam score data through constructing frequency distributions, calculating quartiles, deciles, and percentiles. Students are directed to show their work, follow formatting guidelines for submitting photo of answers, and not share their responses. The first problem provides score data from a qualifying exam taken by second year students, and the second provides data from a statistics class exam of 50 students.

Problem 1
A group of second year BSA students of SVCI took the qualifying examination for the
admittance to the College of Accounting Education for the third year level. The following are
the results of examination.

75 55 50 75 65 49 58 71 87 73
51 58 35 48 55 97 67 56 70 55

63 93 75 75 43 76 73 85 64 45

a. Construct a frequency distribution using 7 classes with the lower limit of the lowest of
class interval as the lowest score of the above data, and include also the relative
frequency distribution (%f) and cumulative “less than” frequency (<cf).
b. Calculate the quartiles for grouped data (Q1, Q2, Q3).
c. Calculate the deciles grouped data (D2, D4, D7, D8, D9)
d. Calculate the percentiles for grouped data (P30, P50, P70, P80, P90)

lowest class interval as the lowest score of the above data, and include also the
relative frequency distribution (%f) and cumulative “less than” frequency (<cf).
b. Calculate the quartiles for grouped data (Q1, Q2, Q3).
c. Calculate the deciles grouped data (D2, D4, D7, D8, D9)
