Audiothingies Micromonsta Changelog

/////
// v1.1.6 - 15/02/2021
///

- Bugfix: Stuck notes could happen when playing and changing voice unison parameter
- Bugfix: LED 9 didn't work under werid conditions

/////
// v1.1.5 - 29/06/2018
///

- Bugfix: When clk was set to ext, it was not taken into account at startup
- Bugfix: Arp out MIDI channel was fixed to 1 in non MPE modes

/////
// v1.1.4 - 4/06/2018
///

- Bugfix: When in MPE mode, program changes were not working

- Couple minor other bugfixes

/////
// v1.1.3 - 30/01/2018
///

- New: Auto-save feature: both system settings and the last loaded patch are saved
at power-off
> MicroMonsta will start with the last loaded patch
- Change: encoder acceleration curve
- Change: system menu: max acceleration value increased from 5 to 9
- Improvement: disabled acceleration to edit name in save screen
- Improvement: use shift while turning an encoder to temporarily deactivate
acceleration and divide sensivity by 2

IMPORTANT:

Applying the update will reset your system values to default, so at first boot
after updating,
do not forget to re-set your system settings (like MIDI input, MIDI channel,
etc...)
The good thing is that you don't need to save them as they will be auto-saved at
power-off :)

/////
// v1.1.2 - 05/10/2017
///

- Fix: slow attack weird behavior on some percussive sounds (introduced in 1.1.0)

/////
// v1.1.1 - 02/10/17
///

- New: "virtual knob position" in popup helper menu (visible when "ui" in settings
menu is set to a non-zero value)
- Change: MIDI data input icon (to support the above feature)
- Bugfix: pitchbend input was not working anymore (introduced in 1.1.0)

/////
// v1.1.0 - 20/09/17
///

New stuff:

- MPE compatibility (Settings: Channel 1 = common, Channels 2 to 16 = notes, pitch

bend set to +- 48 semitones, slide: CC1, relative unipolar or CC74, relative
bipolar)
- USB MIDI input (output still needs some work, currently only knob moves are
transmitted)
- Drone mode (if arp set to off and latch set to on)
- Master Tune 432 - 445 Hz
- Microtuning (SYSEX bulk tuning dump MTS support)
- Long press on Load will set edit buffer to default patch
- Save menu now displays destination patch name
- Home/Load screen now shows small icons for chorder, latch (drone) and arp
- CC7 support
- SYSEX edit buffer implemented >> SYSEX format updated

Improvements:

- 24bit output
- Hotter output
- More natural sounding pan algorithm
- Improved encoder algorithm handler (less subject to encoder wear, but double
resolution had to go, bye bye double resolution, but encoder life should be way
longer) with new acceleration curve
- Tighter external MIDI clock sync
- Sustain pedal behavior in mono/legato mode changed (vintage behavior compliant,
sustain only latest released note)
- Added a confirmation screen when saving system settings and manually sending edit
buffer SYSEX file to MIDI out

Bug fixes:
- slightly reworked MIDI map (there was a bug introduced in 1.0.4)

NOTES:
- After updating, goto system menu and adjust things there
- Old Sysexes are not compatible, if you have some sysex files, then send them and
save them to the Micromonsta BEFORE doing the update, then perform the update, and
then you can export them again

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Batch preset import/export only works with hardware MIDI ports (no USB), as SYSEX
is not implemented for USB (yet?)

/////
// v1.0.4 - 4/11/2016
///

- Change: MIDI bank selection can be done by MIDI cc0 only OR with MIDI CC0 / MIDI
cc32 pair
> This allows bank selection on sequencers using MIDI CC0 without sending CC32
(like Octatrack)
- Bugfix: arp did not sync correctly in ext sync clock mode
- Bugfix: small bug in the encoder handler introduced in v1.0.3

/////
// v1.0.3 - 13/10/2016
///

- New: non interpolated wavetables (z01 to z30)

- New: arp pattern can be randomized (long push on encoder buttons - see manual)
- Improvement: encoder handling in hidden startup menu
- Change: long press now triggered at 500ms
- Change: bank select message now uses CC32 instead of CC0
- Bugfix: lfo speed and delay display error when parameter was set to 80

/////
// v1.0.2 - 03/08/2016 (NOT PUBLIC)
///

- Bugfix: small bug in the new sync algorithm

- Bugfix: polychain mode

/////
// v1.0.1 - 29/07/2016 (NOT PUBLIC)
///

- Improvement: sync oscillators rewritten and sound way better

- Improvement: smarter encoder engine
- Bugfix: small bug in the arpeggiator

/////
// v1.0
///

- initial public release
