RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter includes the Research Design, Research Locale, Population and
Data.
RESEARCH DESIGN
This study used a descriptive survey method used to assess social media usage
motives, and social norms of Senior High School Students of Palm Valley Multiple
accurate interpretation about such data with or without the aid of statistical treatment.
RESEARCH LOCALE
This study was conducted in Palm Valley Multiple Intelligence School. Located at
483 Denmark St. Alaminos Heights Subdivision Poblacion III, Alaminos, Laguna. The
aforementioned school is a small one, and as such, it is only able to handle a modest
number of students.
POPULATION
This study will involve the participation of fifty-seven (57) students who will be
observed to determine the effect of prolonged social media usage on social Behavior
senior high school students, which is made up of twenty-five (25) students from grade
11 and thirty-two (32) students from grade 12 from Palm Valley Multiple Intelligence
School. Knowing that this particular school has a small student population may make
it easier for us to analyse the data. Even though we are amid a pandemic in 2021, we
believe that selecting students from PVMIS who are nearby will make it easier to

DATA GATHERING INSTRUMENT
The kind of research instrument used was the Likert Scale. A Likert Scale is a
research. Rating items on a five-point scale based on their level of agreement. It's a
question with a series of answers to choose from, indicating how strongly they agree
or disagree, generally ranging from 'strongly agree' to 'strongly disagree,' and usually
