Introduction:
In this project, we have to plan and design the network for the institute in the city. The goal
of this study is to obviously explain the thorough WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network)
design that has been thoroughly developed for the campus. Our priority is to build an
advanced wireless network that fulfils the needs of the institute’s academic and
administrative operations.
The campus, which is strategically positioned on the 9 th and 10th floors of a building, offers a
variety of useful facilities, including 10 classrooms, a special staff office, and a main welcome
area. Our main goal is to establish a wireless network that effortlessly connects these areas
while providing consummate connectivity, strong security, and effective resource
management.
The sections that follow will outline each element of our design, explaining the plans, tools,
and factors that combined result in a terrific wireless network specifically created to meet
the specific requirements of the campus.
Elaboration:
Now we are getting into more detail about the specific specifications listed in the
introduction for the campus's WLAN i.e. Wireless Local Area Network design:
1. Classroom Connectivity:
Here, we have build a network architecture that can support the requirements of modern
education. Each classroom has set up to support up to 30 connections from students'
laptops, tablets, and cell phones at once. The use of cutting-edge wireless access points that
can effectively manage and distribute network resources is required due to the high density
of devices.
2. Mobility:
Due to the dynamic nature of the learning environment, students must switch between
classrooms frequently during the day. A network architecture that supports roaming is
essential to ensuring a reliable transition. Students won't face connectivity disruptions or
the need to manually re-join to the network thanks to this seamless mobility.

3. Security:
In order to protect delicate information and ensure the network's integrity, the security of
the wireless network is of highest importance. A multi-layered security strategy is required
to achieve this.
This involves deploying MAC address filtering to limit network access to authorized devices
only, requiring strong and unique passwords for network access, and implementing WPA3
encryption technologies to safeguard data transmission.
Design:
Critical Analysis:
In order to assure the best performance, dependability, and user happiness, several crucial
considerations have been taken into account while choosing wireless equipment for the
campus WLAN:
1. Performance:
It is expected that the selected WAP will support the most current Wi-Fi
standards, provides faster data speeds and more capacity. These devices can
manage the vast number of connections in classrooms, giving staff and
students faster and more reliable connectivity.
3. Security:
The university needs to create a network wireless security policy. This will support in
guarding against malicious attacks and illegal access to the network. The institution
should keep an eye out for performance problems and security risks on the wireless
network. This will support maintaining the network's security and accessibility.
4. Centralized Management:
It is better to use wireless devices with centralized administration competences. This
makes network management and troubleshooting easier for administrators by
allowing them to configure and monitor the network from a single interface.

Conclusion:
This analysis has examined various aspects of the design, highlighting its strengths,
limitations, and potential impact on the campus community. The WLAN design strikes a
compromise between leading-edge technology, user requirements, and financial
constrictions. Stakeholders can decide how best to adopt the design to improve the
educational experience by being aware of its Pros & Cons. The detailed study of the report
provides the institute with the knowledge necessary to negotiate the challenges of existing
wireless networking and lay the basis for a connected and authorized campus environment.
