Trigonometry Formulae

1) The document provides necessary trigonometric formulae for exercises 7.1 through 7.7. These include formulae for trig functions of sum and difference of angles, double angle identities, trig functions of multiple angles, and formulae related to triangles including the sine rule, cosine rule, and relationships involving sides and angles. 2) Additional triangle formulae include expressions for the area of a triangle using various combinations of sides and angles, as well as formulae to calculate the radius of the circumcircle and incircle of a triangle. 3) The final section provides expressions for trig functions of angles in a triangle in terms of sides and semiperimeter.

Necessary Formulae at Glance for Exercise-7.

→ If the given angle is negative the rule for (– 𝜽) is to be applied.

→The given angle is to be expressed in the form (𝒏 × 𝟗𝟎 ± 𝜽) where n is any integer and 𝜽
is an acute angle. This rule is also applicable when 𝜽 is obtuse.
(1) If n is even-
(a) the trigonometric ratio will not be changed.
(b) ratio will be changed depend on quadrant
(2) If n is odd-
(a) the trigonometric ratio will be changed of the following ways:
(i) sine will be changed into cosine;
(ii) cosine will be changed into sine
(iii) tangent will be changed into cotangent;
(iv) cotangent will be changed into tangent
(v) secant will be changed into cosecant;
(vi) cosecant will be changed into secant.

(b) Ratio will be changed depend on quadrant
