Dear Mrs Bartlett,

Housing Act 1996: Part VI Allocation of housing accommodation

Thank you for your request for assistance with housing made on 20/07/2022.

We would like to advise you that your application to join the Common Housing Register has been
accepted.

You have been placed in Band A and your effective date of registration is 20/07/2022. The reason that
you have been placed in Band A is because you are threatened with homelessness.

You have been registered for a 1 bedroom property. Please note that you may have been registered for
areas where there are currently no properties for the bedroom size you require. However, properties
may be developed in these areas in the future or a different size property may become available that
could be suitable for your housing needs.

Properties are allocated in accordance with the Bridgend ‘Social Housing Allocation Policy’ which is
available to view by visiting www.bridgend.gov.uk and searching for ‘Social Housing Allocation Policy’.
Alternatively you can drop into the Council offices at the address at the top of this letter to view a copy.

We allocate from each band in date order of registration and will contact you to let you know when you
are going to be nominated for a social housing property with a Housing Association. It is very
important that you inform us of any changes to your contact information or any changes to your
circumstances. Failure to do so could mean you miss out on being nominated for a social
housing property.

In the meantime, you can find out your estimated waiting time to be allocated a social housing property
by going online at www.bridgend.gov.uk and clicking on the “waiting time calculator”. You will need your
band and effective date of registration to do this. If you need any assistance with this, please do not
