AGC functionality
There are two main functions of AGC:

1. Load-frequency control (LFC). LFC must do two things:


a. Maintain system frequency
b. Maintain scheduled exports
2. Provide signals to generators for two reasons:
a. Economic dispatch
b. Security control

As its name implies, LFC is a control function. There are 3 main levels of control:

1. Primary control
2. Secondary control
3. Supplementary control
