Quiz 1.

Interprofessional education or care (IPE) is a fundamental and analytical approach for

medical students preparing to join the healthcare practice where partnership and collaboration are

crucial competencies. IPE is a prerequisite to building a collaborative practice environment and

optimizing patient care (Diggele et al., 2020).

Collaborative care can be the participation or partnership regarding diagnosing and

treating a particular patient among two or more health practitioners from different fields.

Quiz 2.

Interprofessional care improves the quality of patient care by:

 An extensive and detailed patient solution will be provided.

 By implementing it, admission rates will be minimized.

 The welfare of the patients will be promoted.

 Members of the medical team will be empowered and communication gaps closed.

 The emotional intelligence of the medical team and patient will be increased as team

mentality is promoted.

Patient safety is increased as there is better communication and coordination between the

healthcare professionals ensuring a patient-safe and quality healthcare system.

Quiz 3.

The interprofessional concept is essential because:

 Students will be able to gain knowledge, skills, and value. They will also be able to

practice as partners of a collaborative unit, improving the quality of their education and

patient outcomes.

 Teamwork benefits healthcare providers, such as reduced extra work and increment in

job satisfaction.

Quiz 4.

As a Respiratory Therapist, I would implement interprofessional education and

collaboration with a team of colleagues, nurses, and students from different institutions. I would

collaborate with my fellow therapists on the diagnosis and the best cause of treatment. I would

also participate in my colleagues’ medical cases to gather more information and experience on

how to treat my patients better. There would be bedside teaching lessons, focus groups, and

written assignments for the students where quantitative and qualitative responses would be

analyzed through descriptive statistics and collaborative practice competency. I would delegate

duties among my nursing team with an open floor approach for open communication. The nurses

would be responsible for administering medicine, regularly checking on the patient, and updating

the same. With this approach, I believe my patients would get the best care.
