Charge pressure, mechanical supercharger

Charge pressure (measured in engine induction manifold) at 2000 rpm.
NOTE! The charge pressure provided by the supercharger can only be measured at an engine speed where the
compressor is engaged and the turbo is not charging. Do not exceed 2000 rpm.

Charge pressure at 20°C (68.0°F) and 760 mm (29.9212") Hg barometric pressure.

* Measurement should be done at 1500 rpm and must be done in accordance with the instructions in the workshop manual.
* Induction, exhaust and cooling systems.

Technical data

Charge pressure, turbocharger

Charge pressure (measured at inlet manifold) at 100 % load, full throttle and 20°C (68.0°F) ambient temperature.
If measurements are done at another temperature, the measured charge pressure must be corrected as per the di-
agram. If full power can not be developed, the pressure will be considerably lower.
Charge pressure at different temperatures

A. Measured charge pressure

B. Correction curves
C. Induction air temperature

Example: A pressure of 100 kPa (14.5 psi) which is

registered at 0°C (32.0°F) is equivalent to 92 kPa
(13.3 psi) at +25°C (77.0°F).
