CASE 1

Read the following passage and answer question numbers 31


and 32.

Madhulika is a mother of two daughters. One of her daughters, Latika


had been complaining of stomach ache lately. Madhulika took Latika to
the doctor. Doctor prescribed a few painkillers along with an antibiotic.
However, Madhulika had a strong belief that antibiotics do not work and
can lead to serious side-effects. This mindset of Madhulika developed
because of the penicillin allergy that her best friend Uma has. So she did
not give antibiotics to her daughter. Sadly, Latika’s condition did not
improve and eventually deteriorated. When doctors questioned
Madhulika about the medicine consumption, she admitted that she did
not give her daughter the prescribed antibiotics.

Hence the doctor explained her logically and she eventually gave
antibiotics to Latika. Her condition there after started improving.

CASE 2

Read the following passage and answer question numbers 33


and 34.

Mr. Mohanty established his hotel business with great zeal and
enthusiasm. He had put all his savings on stake for establishing this
dream business. He was extremely focused and hard working. He had
a strong backing and full support of his family and friends. Everything
was smooth and very soon he started getting an extremely good return
as well. He earned name and fame both in the service industry.
Unfortunately the world had to face the pandemic –Covid 19 and
complete lock down was announced. This had a major impact on his
business as he had to pay all his employees and had to maintain his
property as well for the future. Eventually circumstances started
turning against him and he had great challenges to meet.
He did not lose hope and took it challenge courageously. He took
extra care of his overall fitness and in the condition of high level of
stress he showed low level of illness. Ultimately he was able to
bounce back where as many people in the same industry lost
everything and could not cope with the situation.
