SQL DATABASE DEVELOPER

ROLE DESCRIPTION
 SQL Developer will be responsible for gathering business requirements and
conceptualizing logical/cloud-based databases
 Perform database development and administration tasks in development,
Pre-Prod and production database environments
 Manage and support current and future database development and
methodologies
 Proactively evaluate physical and logical design of databases to keep up with the
dynamic and growing business needs
 Additionally, the database developer will be a contributing team architect in the
development and design of database solutions and contributing to the support
and growth of other data intensive products
 Manage existing data models and create models for new databases
 Generate and maintain data dictionaries
 Examine SQL stored Procedures and determine areas of code improvement
following SQL Best Practice
 Work with business analysts and various groups to collect requirements and
translate those into database models and data flows
 Design advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, scripts and cursors
 Troubleshoot problems reported by clients in the database systems
 Identify potential performance and process improvements
 Conduct data analysis, design, and execution architecture training, as required
 Provide SQL / database support to the application developers

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

vii. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
viii. In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
ix. Proficiency programming in more than one SQL database like MySQL, and
Oracle.

REQUIRED SKILLS

 Proficiency with development and design of MySQL


 Prior experience with database design and development
 Prior experience with database optimization and management
 Proficiency with Azure based database development
 Proficiency with Oracle, MongoDB a plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

3+ years of SQL database development work experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science
